Dear sir I have a question about Chapter 4 Example 4 Group SPLOCI:
The profit attributable of the parent is 365, but when I add up the figures of the P’s column, it equals 260. I do not know what I did wrong that makes these two figures different 🙁

Hi,
Why are you trying to calculate the profit attributable to the parent in this fashion? It isn’t how we’ve done it in the materials, not is it how the examiner would do it. Remember that it is just a balancing figure, being the difference between the group profit for the year and the amounts attributable to the NCI.
The amount attributable to the parent is not just the profit of the parent itself but also their share of the subsidiaries profits, hence the difference that you have above.
