hello mikelittle,
i am stuck on example 5 of chapter 21.its hard getting an earnings of 9100000.i tried manipulating the figures for understanding but i still can’t get anything on it.can you please help me through? and also, i would like to know the meaning of MEPS. thank you so much.

It’s $10,000,000 earnings per the question less $900,000 earnings from discontinued operations
It’s the only time we make this adjustment of the earnings from the discontinued operations – in the final calculation that $900,000 is included within the year’s earnings figure
MEPS is Marginal earnings Per Share
