Example 12
Thomas earned £160,000 trading profit in 2023/24 In the tax year he paid £6,400 to charity under the
gift aid scheme.
Calculate Thomas’s income tax liability for 2023/24.I have watched the recorded lecture where you answer this question but your answer from the recorded lecture does not match with the answer at the back of the book. Can you please help me? I’m having difficulty trying to understand the tax calculation.
