in example 1, what will be entry of the gain of 12m?
Dr Investment ——- will this debit go in the individual books?

Hi,
I’d not worry too much about the DR entry as even though it does go to the investment as it has increased in value, it is then subsequently eliminated on consolidation.
The exam isn’t until September. It’s ages away yet!
