Hi,
I have got the previous edition of the P2 kaplan book ending on June 2017. I would like to know what will be changing, in terms of content, from that book to the new one.
Also, would you recommend to buy a new one or preparing the exam with the old one should be enough?

I have the same problem too, not sure whether to use the same book. From the syllabus guides on the acca website, I don’t see any difference between the two versions for June 2017 and June 2018 exams. I think maybe because P2 will change from September 2018 onwards.
I checked on Acca website and in there you can find the changes to the new book. It seems to affect only the lease.

Yes, the biggest change to the syllabus is on the new leasing standard (IFRS 16). It is highly likely to be examined in the coming year so I’d recommend that you have all the up to date materials to give yourself the maximum opportunity to pass the exam at the first attempt.
