    Dear Sir,

I would like to know whether there will be any changes in the lecture notes for P4 September/December 2016 exam session. If yes, by when will the lecture notes be updated?

There will be a new set of notes uploaded later this month (and a few more lectures).

However the changes are more improvements then actual syllabus changes, so you can start using the current notes and lectures.

    EVA is no longer examinable.

Our lecture notes for September 2016 are online and cover the syllabus for September.

Yes – the book will be OK (but ignore EVA).

Our lecture notes should only be used along with watching our free lectures.

Yes – that would be best. Work through the lecture notes and watch the relevant lectures that go with the chapters, and use your Study Text for areas whether you are unsure or want more explanations.

If you download our free Study Guide (from the main P4 page) it suggests the best questions to use for practice, and at which stage.

Other changes are minor – you can see what they are by looking at the syllabus on the ACCA website. Changes are listed at the very end of the syllabus.

No – there is no change in the pass mark!

EVA has been removed from the syllabus.

Other changes are minor and you can see them listed at the end of the syllabus (which is available on the ACCA website).

Sorry, but we do not provide help by private email – only on the forums 🙂

    Quite possible!!

However syllabus changes are usually very small – they were very small this time. Most of the syllabus will remain the same whether or not there are changes.
