A very silly question but was bothering me that I usually calculate cgt for every asset seperarely and then total them up but in answers its done all in one does that affect marks?

You calculate each chargeable gain separately but can only calculate the CGT liability when you put all the gains and losses together to establish net gains and then deducted AEA to compute the taxable gains figure which is then charged to tax!
