Hi everyone,
I’d like to take the Case Study Exam in November. I know that this requires application of knowledge of P1,F1,E1 in business contex. And that’s ok. But question is: can I expect that I’ll be tested on knowledge about such a things like bodies of international organizations, how the process of establishing new IFRS looks like?
The time is runnig out and I want to use it at my best for preparation.February 20, 2019 at 1:52 am #505814Hi – the operational case study can test anything from the operational syllabus papers E1, F1 and P1 and in theory may include knowledge from previous supporting papers ( certificate level / BA level).
You will not be tested on areas outside of these papers.
It is recommended that you obtain the operational level syllabus as part of your revision process – also download the latest Open Tuition notes to help you prepare for the case study technical content.
I hope this helps

Thanks for the response above which is very informative. Can you tell me the timetable for the case study exam? I’m preparing for the P1 exam which I plan on sitting in a couple of months. Can I sit the case study at any time or can I only sit it at certain points in the year?

You can only sit the case study at 4 fixed times during the year. These are February, May, August and November.
If you have a couple of months left to clear P1 you will be looking at a August Case study – dates are all on the CIMA website. https://www.cimaglobal.com/Studying/Exams/Exam-timetable/Hope that helps.
Many Thanks
