Thiago is provided with a new diesel company car on 6 May 2019, which he used for both business and private purposes during the tax year 2019/20. The car has a list price of £28,000 and CO2 emissions of 158 grams per kilometre. The car meets the RDE2 standard.
What is Thiago’s car benefit for the tax year 2019/20?

The correct answer is £9,497, however, I keep getting £8,983. What am I missing?

Is there a calculation given for the answer provided (where does the question come from?) as my quick calculation is the same as yours based on the information you have provided!

The question is from Kaplan Exam Kit (FA2019) question number 27. The only calculation provided is for the CO2 emissions percentage.

I don’t have the Kaplan material but if you are giving me every word from the question then I agree with your answer
