Hello,
Normally, we know the association CWIP has with the IAS 16 operating fixed assets.
I want to ask the treatment for CWIP when it is classified under Investment property. What does IAS say about this and the accounting treatment?
CWIP is not a term in the syllabus – it sounds like internal jargon for a company.
If you are asking me where you book an IP while it is being constructed – you book it in IP.
