regarding to question activities 2 from workbook page 246
This is what i got …
Non current asset
PPE (2300+1900) 4200
Goodwill 360Current Asset
(3430+1790-10(PUP) 5210Total Asset 9770
Equity
Share capital 1000
Retained Earning 4300
NCI 1060Current liability
(1580+1100) 2680
Non-current liability
(650+290) 640Total Equity and liability 9680
above answer is what i got but the balance does not match ..
when i compared to answer, everything was same except current asset.
they calculated (3430+1790-10) same as mine but answer was 5120 ..i thought the calculation was wrong it should be 5210 but if it is 5210, the balance does not match between asset and equity&liability..so i am struggling with this..and Can you please tell me the correct answer and calculation?Hi,
It looks like it is a transposition error in the workbook and the 5,210 figure you’ve calculated is correct.

Hi,
Don’t worry if it doesn’t balance! You don’t get marks in the exam for a SFP that balances.
