Why is the net asset denoted as a negative figure in the answer?
i assume it becomes a non current asset or am I wrong?

Hi,
it is just the way it is presented and I’d not concern yourself with it. It doesn’t matter if you show it with or without brackets, as long as you state that it is an asset then you will score the marks.
