dear sir
I watched your lecture on open tution
I do not understand where $2 dividend received came from on the warrburt group cash flows question. the opening figure was 0 and the closing figure was 102.
could you please assist me on this if possible
thanks
Sohaib naseem
Hi,
You don’t need to solve it using a T-account. If the associate has paid a dividend of $8m then we will have received our share of it at 25%, being the $2m.
The T-account would be used to calculate how much was paid to acquire the associate as pat of investing activities.
Thanks
thanks

Hi,
I won’t be able to provide any feedback, I can only answer any areas where you are unsure of the answers.
Thanks
