When I was reading chapter # 1 of F9, I came to the below “Corporate governance areas”:
I am not sure why they have said “Boards” or “Audit committees” ? There is always one board of directors and only one audit commmittee in a company then why the BPP book has put these words in plural ?(i) Boards should regularly review risk management and internal control, and carry out a wider review annually, the results of which should be disclosed in the accounts.
(j) Audit committees of independent non-executive directors should liaise with external auditors, supervise internal audit, and review the annual accounts and internal controls.Thanks,
