When I was reading chapter # 1 of F9, I came to the below “Corporate governance areas”:
I am not sure why they have said “Boards” or “Audit committees” ? There is always one board of directors and only one audit commmittee in a company then why the BPP book has put these words in plural ?
(i) Boards should regularly review risk management and internal control, and carry out a wider review annually, the results of which should be disclosed in the accounts.
(j) Audit committees of independent non-executive directors should liaise with external auditors, supervise internal audit, and review the annual accounts and internal controls.
Thanks,
Each company only has one board and one audit committee, but they are writing about companies in general and therefore all boards and all audit committees.
Thanks sir,
You are welcome 🙂
