I was wondering just how relevant chapter 4 will be in SBR? As i believe there will not be a consolidated financial statement question, is all of the information and practice within chapter 4 essential or benefitial for the exam?

It is there to refresh what you've seen in FR, and although it won't be examined as such is useful to understand the basics before you move on to the more complex aspects.
