    Hi sir,

I am not understanding how to

    1) choose nci % What are rules here .

Do we always use nci% when parent gain control no matter if disposal before ye or at ye? Or its part or full disposal?

    2) regarding adjustements to pfy

    In marchant q june 14

We didnt add share of assosiate to pfy however i saw in other q that it has been added why?

And whats things we add or deduct ?

    Thanks v much

    Hi,

    1) The NCI is the difference between the outright ownership at 100% and what you effectively own. So on the group SFP it is measured at the reporting date, but for the group profit or loss you might need to look at it at two point during the year if there has been an addition or disposal. Remember that the profits accrue so you’d need to apply the different NCI% to the profits where the ownership has been different.

    2) The share of profit of associate does not form part of the profit that is attributable to the NCI. It is the parent that owns the associate, the NCI own their share of the subsidiary, not the associate. Draw up the group structure and it might become clearer.

    Thanks

    Hi,

There is an example statement of profit and loss and other comprehensive income in the notes. Try looking at that please.

    Thanks

    Chris
