Hi
Gone through study text and F7 lectures. I cannot understand why you gave all the 30% of dividend when the shares were mid year. I thought dividend was subject to weighted average in terms of time. Is the lecture correct in terms of the 10m for the half year
80m x .5 = 40m….20 of the 80 was dividend
40m x .25 = 10……you show 5 as dividend but if you take 30 x.25 = 7.5, so the dividend share must be 2.5
I am only concerned in the fact I thought the dividend was half as well

Be careful as a dividend doesn’t accrue during the year, it gets declared at a point in time and is not therefore pro-rated if there is a mid year acquisition.
