Please Sir, can you explain the annual general meeting & general meeting and when these are called and by whom?
Hi
So both AGM and GM are meetings attended by the shareholders of a company.
Both are organised and called by directors. Its the directors that will arrange for “Notice/invitation” to be sent to the shareholders.
AGM- These are held annually, 21 days notice must be given and its compulsory for PLC’s.
GM- These are held as and when required. 14 days notice must be given. These are optional.
I hope this helps?
Kind regards,
Vijay
