Hi Mike
OT was a great help for my exams success during my skill level. I am planning to take P1,2,3 in december. Could Mike or anyone else please advice me about the idea of taking P1,2,3 at a one go (bearing in mind the exam for these three papers are in a row with no off day in between), and also will there be enough help at OT to take on these three exams ( I followed everything to the letter at OT when I was doing skills level )
Thanks in advance 🙂August 11, 2013 at 11:29 am #137525Just to let you know I did P1 and P3 together. I did P2 on its own as there is so much work. I then did P6 and P7 together. If you have alot of time on your hands you could do these three exams however P2 is very difficult and there is alot of work required. It may be better to do P1 along with P2 and then do P3 with another one in the next sitting. Furthermore, two exams that could go well together are P2 and P7 were a thorough knowledge of the accounting standards is required. I understand that everyone is different though so it may be different for you.
August 11, 2013 at 12:39 pm #137530Hi Imran
It’s each one to their own, I’m afraid. Back in the day ….. we had to sit 5 exams in a single session on consecutive half days (Tuesday morning through to Thursday morning inclusive) with no calculators and no information (like tax rates) given – you had to remember them all. Furthermore, if you failed any one of the five, you had to resit them all – no referrals, no pass in one paper meaning that was completed. Fail one, fail them all.
So, is it possible to do 3 exams in three consecutive days? Hmm, how times have changed!!!
If you’re aiming to do 2 exams, P1 and P3 followed by P2 and P7 finishing with the last option paper
If you’re doing 3, then why not P1, P2 and P3
And if you’re doing 4! then P1, P2, P3 and P7
But that would be my choice and that could be radically different from your own preferences.
As I said at the start, each one to their own

thanks to both of you for reply.
@Mike even thinking for appearing 5 exams in consecutive sessions sweats my sinks 🙁 .
This is why they say “Old is Gold”.
I will take P1, P2 and P3 , and hopefully defeat the examiner with my hardwork and commitment. Thanks
