This will be my fourth attempt of P2.

All exams thus far I have scored 42%, 48% then 41% and I have no idea what I need to do to finally pass this subject.

Please refer to the advice given to students who have asked similar questions (e.g. “why have I failed P2”) in the ACCA Forum (as opposed to this ask the tutor technical questions about open tuition materials forum).

    Hi,

It can’t be too much fun to have gotten this far in the qualification and been unsuccessful three times.

What revision techniques have you been adopting in the past three sittings? Have you paid to attend any revision classes and have the opportunity to do mock exams under timed conditions? If not then it might be advisable to do so, as you would be able to get feedback on where you have been going wrong.

How do you approach the exam itself? Exam technique is key and if you’re approaching it wrong then it won’t be helping. Firstly, don’t explain anything in Q1 part (a) as it just wants the numbers crunched, and don’t overrun on your time here. Also attempt the ethics part of Q1 first as this is usually easy marks to get.

For Q2 and Q3 have a look at the two revision videos on the website as they give you an idea on how to approach this type of question.

By all means post your question on the other forum but please come back here to let me know how you’re approaching the exam to see if we can help.

    Thanks
