July 6, 2021 at 6:30 am #627066How is F6 Marked like if you want to know you have passed or not,Does after marking automatically section a and b you will know yiur marks?
@Kim Smith How is section C Marked and how many examiners mark the paper?July 6, 2021 at 8:53 am #627076@mazahirg – your post isn’t really related to the original post on this thread – it would have been better to start a new thread.
Unlike the on-demand exams – where all marking is automated – so known on completion, the marks of session cbes are not determined until all sections have been completed. A and B are automated – but still subject to scrutiny. The number of markers depends on the number of scripts at each exam session (which can fluctuate considerably from session to session and exam to exam).
July 6, 2021 at 12:01 pm #627086Ok One more Question before i leave this forum,
If i get 40% from section a and b,And some marks from section C,Will the percentage go down as a result of section C marking?
Could you explain to me please with numerical exapmle please?July 6, 2021 at 2:33 pm #627091Section A – 30 marks is worth 30%
Section B – 30 marks is worth 30%
Section C – 40 marks is worth 40%If a student gets 40 marks across sections A and B (i.e. 67% of the 60 marks available) and didn’t attempt Section C – their final mark is 40%
If they attempt Section C and get at least 10 of the 40 available marks they will achieve the necessary 50% to pass overall.
There is NO NEGATIVE marking in ACCA exams. Theoretically – a student could get 50 marks or more on sections A and B without attempting Section C. However, as a strategy that is too risky and cannot be recommended!
July 6, 2021 at 11:08 pm #627108Ok Kim smith,For example,In section A and B i manage to get above 50% lets say some marks from section C,can i pass overall?
Again numerical examples please
This is my last questionJuly 7, 2021 at 5:48 am #627115July 7, 2021 at 6:02 am #627116yes you will be considered as pass overall
July 7, 2021 at 9:03 am #627144@mazahirg – as I already said if you got 50 MARKS (out of 60) on Sections A & B that is a pass. If you got 50% of the marks on Sections A & B – i.e. only 30 marks out of 60, that would be only 30/100 for the exam as a whole. In this case you would need to get at least 20 of the 40 marks available in Section C.
