What you think about am admin review? I was really confident in my answers but did not expect 48.

My first professional exam passed in first attempt. Though i was expecting more than 59%. Thanks to Opentuition, another exam passed in first attempt. As usual i only followed Opentuition lectures and notes coupled with Kaplan Text and Exam kit. Thank you so much Opentuition. I dont know how would I have even passed any of my ACCA exam without it when even buying latest books is so difficult for me.

I failed SBL second time 46%. I really do not know what is it that I can do different, I am really thinking about giving it up all together.. I was convinced I did well and it would help to see the paper and see where I lost marks otherwise what else can I do different next time? I failed before, but never felt this lost…

SBL was my final exam and I passed with 63%, after failing in March with 48%, so I am now an affiliate.

Best advice I could give to anyone sitting/resitting this exam would be to stick to the time scales e.g. 45 mins reading and planning and allocate the remaining time between each quesiton. This allowed me to ensure I had enough time for each question and have a good plan and structure for each answer.

    Passed with 61% first attempt.

For those who haven’t passed, don’t give up!

An admin review is just a recheck of what the marker has done and isn’t a remark. It’s just another way for them to get some money out of you and it’s soooo rare that the result ever changes.

Absolutely gutted. Not sure how I only got 32 marks on the paper after attempting all the questions with a timed structure in place. I thought I might have done enough in order to pass but clearly not. Oh well looks like I’ll have to resit!!!

    First time pass with 58%.
Honestly thought I’d failed – had 2 hour delay, the sun in my eyes (and a massive headache) for the whole exam, invigilator knocked all of my computer on the floor at the start meaning the screen cut out half way through – plus the exam question based around a charity which I found very limiting as to what to write.
A bit shocked but relieved nonetheless. 3 to go until I’m a member.
Don’t ever give up. I was so close to giving up after failing the F6 (Tax) exam nearly 2 years ago, as I hated the paper and couldn’t face studying it again. But we all have different strengths and weaknesses… one person’s weak paper, may be your strong paper!
Plenty of practice papers certainly are my recommendation – well done to all those who passed, and keep going to all those who this time didn’t!

To be honest now after so many technical issues and even earlier sedning out emails to people about being affiliate, I do not trut ACCA that they really can truelly and fairly mark the exams. There is a money making scheme behind. Every organisation has a fail/refuse mark scheme just to make extra profit.

I do not trust them at all at their scheme!

If you failed by 1-2%, personally wouldn’t bother with contacting ACCA – they aren’t that helpful, and I’ve never known an admin review to come back with extra marks – just wasted money for nothing.
I’ve had a 49% fail before and it was so frustrating!

Honestly think my exam must have been corrupted, I was pretty confident I had done enough – even with the two hour exam delays! 49% is an absolute killer I’m gutted

Well, you still definitely have more strength that majority of people in your place would have, as you come here and share your thoughts. I hope you will pass next attempt although fully understand how you feel now.

I was really worried that I will fail F5, F7 and F9 (rather numerical ones) and was really certain I did AA very very well. At the end, from AA, I got worst score from all exams I had.

So after SBL I had good feelings in general but, due to the nature of it, also assumed that I may fail. And was quite close.

I got 36 which was my 4th attempt however I found the exam pretty simple and I thought I did enough to pass. I will be stepping down now. I wish there was a way to stop paying the subscription because ACCA doesn’t know my worth.

I am not surprised it was coupted. I feel exatly the same. The interesting thing, when you actually have experience working with charities companies and at the end you fail the exam – feels very weird. It means to me that markers might do not have experience in that sort of business and they cannot actually generate the ideas themselves.
