*** ACCA SBL September 2018 Exam Results ***

I am grateful to God… I eventually qualified…. The journey was hard but enjoyable.

Passed on 58%

Very relieved, in all honesty was expecting a fail.

Thank you Open tuition. Passed Sbl. I just used Open tuition lectures and Becker’s exam kit. Thanks again to OT team.

I think it is actually bad for the first sitting….it looks like next sitting they will be aiming for the pass rate to be around as same as options. Same with SBR.

When you say bad, do you mean that you think the pass rate should be lower?

It is in line with the previous P1 and P3 exams.

I have waited too long for this certificate.

I sat P5 13 times and was made to write SBL and it is not fair that they delay my professional certificate.

Have you applied for membership? I applied Monday morning and got an e-mail saying my status should be changed to ‘member’ in the next 10 working days, the certificate will be sealed on 31st October and to expect to receive it within 12 weeks.

But with all due respect, it is not ACCA’s fault it took 13 attempts to pass an exam – they cannot issue certificates any faster for one person than another.

I meant 47% is very low pass rate considering they are always more generous with first sittings. Pass rates for P1 and P3 were usually above 50%. What worries me mostly is that the past rate for next sitting will be way lower than 47%. They might try to make the SBR and SBL as difficult as the options. This will cause even more resits which will provide higher turnover!

Actually the pass rate was 45% so that’s even worse.

Please, can somebody tell me how much do i need to score to pass SBL? I am a bit confused.

You have to get a 50% to pass SBL
