@falcondenny – please see here: https://opentuition.com/acca
I don’t think it can be any clearer:
“Free ACCA notes & lectures for December 2023 Exams”
October 3, 2023 at 2:54 pm #692781Hello Kim Smith,
Thank you for sharing this. According to the PDF, there haven’t been any adjustments made to the law exam’s specific English law.
I’ll take the Law Global Variant Exam in the middle of October 2023. Are there any updates that I need to be informed about?
I have primarily used the lectures and assessments from Opentuition. Do I need to evaluate any extra resources? Thanks in advance
October 4, 2023 at 7:47 am #692800@nsolanki – welcome to our forums!
Especially as you are starting out on your journey, I recommend that you bookmark this page:
https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-support-resources.htmlSelect “ACCA Qualfication” and a menu of exams appears – select an exam – e.g. LW
https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f4.html This is the main menu for the most important resources available to you – and should be a constant source of reference.Select “syllabus” and you can find the GLO variant – as for ENG, the last page confirms “There have been no additions to,or deletions from, the syllabus.”
October 5, 2023 at 1:09 pm #692857Hello Kim,
I appreciate your gracious hospitality.
I’ll remember that and use the sites you gave me to learn more.October 23, 2023 at 9:40 pm #693908I just finished my foundation level and FIP but I didn’t receive the diploma they were used to give , did they change that too?
October 24, 2023 at 11:09 am #693925Hi,
I’ve just registered for ACCA and aiming to sit the LW England exam, F4, in December 2023. This website is incredibly comprehensive and has been very helpful so far, so thank you. I’m ordering the kaplan study text for law but wanted to know as lectures for law were uploaded 5 years ago. Given Brexit and any other changes, are lectures along with the notes from open tuition the correct source of learning for the Dec 23 exam as my textbook will be arriving next week?
Thanks in advance
October 24, 2023 at 11:55 am #693928@HaroonKhan – there have been very negligible changes to LW-ENG syllabus/exam docs in the last 5 years. EU-related law was never a significant part of the syllabus or exam, so Brexit hasn’t made substantive changes. If you have any specific queries, I suggest you use the Tutor LW forum https://opentuition.com/forum/ask-acca-tutor-forums/ask-the-tutor-acca-lw-exams
You should find many Qs already answers if you use the search function with suitable key words https://opentuition.com/search-opentuition
October 24, 2023 at 11:59 am #693929@crizy – welcome to our forums! Please look for an appropriate forum to answer queries as they might otherwise be overlooked.
If you are looking for “ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business (RQF Level 4)” certificate, I would expect it to be available pretty much on completion of FIP. If it’s not available in your myACCA account by tomorrow I suggest you contact ACCA directly to ask https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-us
October 24, 2023 at 12:15 pm #693930Thanks! Will use lectures, notes and textbook to prepare!
October 29, 2023 at 5:39 pm #694148Hi,
Might be sitting this exam next month. Wanted to know, since its MCQ and I’ve got economics/finance background, will lecture videos and notes on open tuition suffice or is the study text a must too?
Also I have exemptions on F1-F3 but since my degree is over 5 years old, ACCA recommended I should forfeit my exemptions and sit these exams as it could effect my eligibility for a practicing certificate or audit qualification? Any idea whether I should and what this means?
October 29, 2023 at 5:56 pm #694149Can you please start a new post for questions unrelated to the subject line of this thread.
October 30, 2023 at 10:10 am #694181Sorry by accident
November 9, 2023 at 2:39 pm #694597Hey there! I’m diving into my studies for ACCA F2, and considering using StudyHub, but I’m curious – do you think it’s sufficient on its own, or would you recommend complementing it with Kaplan and BPP materials? Thanks for your insights!
November 10, 2023 at 10:54 am #694635@zafaralisha Welcome to OpenTuition forums! Please start a new post for a new topic rather than “piggy back” on an unrelated existing thread.
If you look at the volume of content in the StudyHub you do not need to supplement the chapters – it is sufficient.
If you prefer a “book”, BPP offers a 20% discount for OpenTuition students https://opentuition.com/20-discount-bpp-books
January 2, 2024 at 9:31 pm #697619Can I still use APM workbook from 2022 to prepare for exam in March 2023?
January 16, 2024 at 5:37 pm #698446Hi Kim,
Amazing site, already passed BT and LAW just last month from the Open tuition resources, so thank you very much. Also telling colleagues and friends about it and will be making regular donations too if that’s possible! I skimmed through the forum regarding changes in content and came across this too: https://www.accaglobal.com/content/dam/acca/global/PDF-students/acca/syllabus-changes.pdf
My question is are the video lectures still sufficient to pass this exam I have also purchased the kaplan notebook and exam study kit?
January 17, 2024 at 8:21 am #698474@HaroonKhan – thank you for your kind words.
When a student goes to access our materials for a specific exam, e.g. here for PM https://opentuition.com/acca/pm, the first thin they will see is “How to pass …”
Our lecture notes and lectures are kept up-to-date with each year’s change of syllabus and provide a foundation on which to build question practice. Although we have some revision lectures, we do not provide comprehensive revision question banks/kits; these are available, for free, elsewhere.
Since exams moved from paper to computer-based, the most important source of question practice is ACCA’s practice platform – e.g. see information here for PM https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/exam-support-resources/fundamentals-exams-study-resources/f5/cbe-question-practice.html
For additional question practice there is ACCA’s Study Hub https://www.accaglobal.com/gb/en/student/your-study-options/studyhub.html – although not apparent from the word “study”, this actually includes more question practice than any student would get through on top of the the CBE practice.
January 21, 2024 at 9:48 am #698731are there any changes in AA for March 2024 ?
January 21, 2024 at 6:58 pm #698780Hi on the changes to syllabus link you shared it mentions the following changes for MA module, specifically for process costing:
”Process costing calculations and the preparation of process accounts
have been removed. The characteristics of process costing and when
it would be used are still examinable, as is the treatment and costing
of joint and by-products and the benefits of further processing and the
concept of normal and abnormal gains and losses”Does this mean through lectures 11-13 aren’t needed for the preparation of the MA exam as calculations have been removed? Or just by reading the lecture notes, pages 47-60 will be sufficient for the exam, kindly advise as I’ve just reached this lecture and unsure whether to cover it or skip!
January 21, 2024 at 7:51 pm #698783Please ask on the relevant tutor forum, I am sharing only general information.
February 17, 2024 at 8:26 pm #700567I am studying for exams in June 2024, can I still use the tax notes for exams up to March 2024?
February 18, 2024 at 8:17 am #700580@falcondenny, we publish for the exam year Sept-June in early June. Depending on the exam there may be negligible changes that have little bearing on study. If you look at your exam on ACCA’s website you will find the S24-J25 syllabuses already published. Then if any changes you can ask the relevant tutor whether to start studies with the current edition notes.
February 28, 2024 at 4:35 pm #701383Hi, I am hoping to take the Tax exam in Jun or Sep this year, but can only find resources up to Mar. Do you know when the new material will be uploaded?
February 28, 2024 at 6:29 pm #701398If you ask the TX tutor I expect the answer will be after next week’s exam.
May 2, 2024 at 8:44 am #704814hey can i use these sbl lectures and notes for june 2024 exam?
