Hi Kim. I phoned up straight away and was told that all they could do was to withdraw the exam and re book me for March. No offer of a re schedule.

Have you heard any further or are we just expected to sit the exam in March? I selected the withdrawal option and they have credited my account. It’s completely unacceptable to me having used up my own leave and exam leave, not to mention the learning provider I used to sit the exam in December not 3 months later! To top it off the exam sounds as if it was quite favourable from what I can see!
Very frustrating and unfair, I agree. I haven’t heard anything further yet, I raised it with the school I did lectures with and he said there’s a small chance they’ll facilitate resits next week. I’m hoping if enough people lobby with ACCA to push for a resit, they will allow us to do it. They clearly can do it given the allowed people to resit it today.
December 8, 2020 at 5:34 pm #598509Can I ask the ppl who could access the exam but had issues? Are you going to contact Acca about it so they take it into consideration?
December 8, 2020 at 5:41 pm #598514yeah ill be logging it with ACCA – like i didnt get to write for 8% of my exam writing time , so imagine if ACCA said you need 50/92 – I think its unfair not to raise it
December 8, 2020 at 5:53 pm #598520Hi Ciara,
Hope your exam went well. When you said you logged in early, does that mean that you started your exam early as well?
December 8, 2020 at 5:55 pm #598521Hey, no started it at the same time so I just sat and waited. Can’t say that’s why I was able to log in but I guess it can’t hurt.
December 8, 2020 at 6:00 pm #598526Thanks a million,
I am doing APM tomorrow myself, my exam time is 8, bet I will be logged in by 6:30am.
Good luck
December 8, 2020 at 6:51 pm #598549@antowhelan do you know what is the procedure to raise this issue with ACCA?
December 8, 2020 at 6:59 pm #598550yeah if you log into my acca , my qualification and then the mitigating circumstances and select exam format remote , listen it may not make a difference but if i was borderline and had 15 mins extra ill guarantee i could have got 1 -2 marks if not more in that time
December 8, 2020 at 7:12 pm #598554Thank you I will be looking into that.
Imagine if we fail on 45-49… that would really be frustrating. I was just at the point of reviewing my answers and got stuck when amending the slides (kind of in the middle of a word)December 8, 2020 at 7:22 pm #598555Same issue 15 minute warning then couldn’t exit the 15 minute warning timer still went down and still could talk to support so knew it wasn’t on my side, issue not fixed all I wanted and needed was my last 15 minutes. Bit of a shame as all the hard work and effort and time of work that was needed to do this exam. I left task 1 to last and could have easily wrote 10 more points to get about 8 marks
December 8, 2020 at 7:26 pm #598557Same!
December 8, 2020 at 8:48 pm #598613Hi, did anyone check their plan? My exam today has withdrawl beside the exam I took today?

I was unable to take SBL exam this morning due to ACCA technical issues. So upset.

I would definitely advise you to do that if you managed to finish, but with issues. They do take into consideration and they are aware of the issues that they had today. For me it is futile as i had issues even within the 10 minutes allocated for reading the pre exam pages. Once I launched the exam it all froze up and I lost the invigilator. The script, exhibits and chat button all became unresponsive. Spent 30 minutes on hold and in the end I was told all they can do is withdraw my entry and I can re book for March. I’d already seen the exam and all the requirements also, so it goes to show they have no contingency plan. Ironic considering part of the syllabus talks about IT controls and BCP

I was not thinking about you being offered a reschedule but making sure you get to hold the exam fee over given that it was you who terminated the session. If you already have confirmation of rebooking for March that’s fine.

Ciara, if you think you sat and submitted it satisfactorily yesterday, i.e. you do not think that you were withdrawn, this is advice from ACCA:
“Any student uncertain of why they have received a rebooking text message, or uncertain of the status of their exam script, should contact ACCA either by telephone +44 (0)141 582 2000 or via https://forms.accaglobal.com/contact-us
I suggest the contact-us
December 9, 2020 at 12:05 pm #598804I have been appeared in PM exam today. How long will it take to out the result?
December 9, 2020 at 12:19 pm #598807Thanks, yeah emailed them so hopefully all was good. Today was much better. The only issue I faced was the person sending me messages to stop touching my face as I cud block my face. So least they addressed ppl complaints
December 9, 2020 at 2:16 pm #598831Hi Louise, I’m in Ireland too, doing my exam this Friday (AFM). Did you have any issues logging in? Anything other than toilet breaks to prepare for???
December 9, 2020 at 3:29 pm #598847Hi Ciara! I’m glad to know it was better today! I’m very nervous about next Monday. Hopefully it won’t be stressful like Monday
December 9, 2020 at 7:55 pm #598919Hi i sat ATX on tues and got to do it..but now ive seen a, withdrawal message on my acca account.. But have not received emaill text or nothing from Acca.. Im worried now my exam is not gone through or something?? Anyone know what this is
December 9, 2020 at 10:35 pm #598957@carsmac, my colleague sat ATX and said the exam froze about an hour before the end of the exam. Which would have been roughly the same time I had issues with SBL. She contacted ACCA and then afterwards she saw that the exam had been withdrawn even though she had asked them if she would be marked on what had been answered so far. Seems they may have taken a blanket approach which suggests to me they knew full well that there were issues going on with the Pearson vue software
December 10, 2020 at 1:32 am #598970Did anybody else have a lag with the remote proctored exams? Like when you were typing and there was a lag with what the screen was showing? For my exam, I would finish typing and the screen would still show I’m typing when I’m done. The worst part was the timer kept reducing but the software was delaying my typing and hence delaying me from completing the paper on time.
? ? Did anyone else face this?December 10, 2020 at 4:15 am #598982I have FR exam today, but after seeing all those comments on technical issues, I am so concerned now. Does anyone know whether the technical issues were resolved by today? 3 days of exams passed already, I hope ACCA took appropriate actions.
