Please anybody guide me about administrative review. Has anybody got their marks changed or it’s worth doing or not?I know how you feel coz I once failed F9 with 49% and wanted to go for admin review but was advised not to go ahead as you would be wasting your money and probably won’t get the result you are hoping for.
My advice is to just take a deep breadth and change your exam technique next time you sit and do lots of past exam questions coz you have the knowledge in your mind you just have to change your exam technique and practising as many questions as you can will help you do better next time.
Best wishes.
January 16, 2017 at 8:44 am #367400no. i am still to pay mine, but got my results.

Fail got 48 Marks, any body would suggest Administration Review? i was expecting a pass this time.I thought you saw your certificate.
January 16, 2017 at 8:59 am #3674113 posts so far have asked whether an administrative review is worth considering
The answer / advice is a resounding NO, NO, NO
Do NOT waste your money. In all the years that I have been involved with ACCA tuition I have never once heard of a successful administrative review
It’s a clerical exercise to see that all your pages have been looked at and marked and that the marks add up to the total
It is NOT A RE-MARK
Save your money, accept that you didn’t score sufficient, assess whether you are missing something in examination technique, and now move on and get practising. March examinations are only 8 weeks away so there’s no time to wallow in despair and disappointment

Passed with 52%, first attempt, self study. Very happy, only 1 more to do now.
January 16, 2017 at 9:43 am #367442Is it possible to get 40 in 3 consecutive attempts in p7…
January 16, 2017 at 10:10 am #367459I was told that if anyone gets 48/49 then its already marked by about 4 different people before results are issued. So i would say, its not worth it.
January 16, 2017 at 10:44 am #367471Passed P7 , Glory be to God
January 16, 2017 at 10:53 am #367476Passed with 61 marks – now affiliate.
For those who were not fortunate with this exam session I would strongly suggest using the following material for the next time round:
https://www.bdo.dk/media/9308068/ifrs-at-a-glance-jan-2016.pdf
The IASPLUS site is also good value
It is the IFRS accounting standards – summarised in a simple and understandable way. (You may have heard of it or used it already). It is lot more easy to follow than the material provided on the offical IFRS website.
Also remember that exam structure is also crucial as well as content i.e. headings, sub-headings, introductions and conclusions. These can be applied to questions Q2-5 as well as Q1.
This helps the marker to mark your paper – otherwise a badly structured paper can easily force the marker to leave your paper to the end of their marking session, knowing that your paper will take a longer time to mark, and he/she will lose a lot of confidence in your paper even before the first mark has been awarded.
Good luck and all the best. Kapil.
January 16, 2017 at 10:55 am #36747759% Thanks to Open tuition. I am now finished the ACCA! Never thought I would see this time. Congrats to everyone who passed and to those who missed out this time your day will come.
January 16, 2017 at 10:56 am #367479Passed and Affiliate … so happy thanks Mike 🙂
January 16, 2017 at 10:58 am #367482Thanks Mike Little, passed first attempt as I have with all the papers which I have depended on your lectures, thank you, now an affiliate headed to membership very happy!!! 😀
January 16, 2017 at 11:03 am #367489For all those who have not passed, my advice keep sitting it, maybe re-examine your exam technique, read examiners articles and practice practice, practice!! Good luck
