2nd attempt for me (didn’t even complete all the paper as ran out of time) and passed 56%
July 17, 2017 at 7:42 am #396803I passed P5 with 51% but failed P7.
Initially I wasnt even confident enough to go to the P5 exam, i was so close to not turning up because i didnt feel comfortable in my knowledge.
This sitting i wasnt a finalist, and felt very relaxed about it.
I have to resit P2 and P7 to finish and they are both the same type of beast so will attempt them both in one sitting. This does though mean the next exam result day will be massively stressful for me and with that i feel for those who have failed their final exams.
Well done for your passes everyone, also for those who failed, dont be down. Failure makes us learn just that little bit more.
July 17, 2017 at 7:52 am #396807Third attempt and failed again I got 43 twice and now 44 π
July 17, 2017 at 8:13 am #396831P5 was my final exam, was sure I failed as a ridiculous exam. Passed with 57% time for a rest.

To all fellow students who failed, keep strong and carry on. Don’t give up now.
I have just passed P5 on my third attempt and the main difference in my prep this time was I ignored all my notes! I downloaded all of the past exams since 2012 and did the questions over and over again.
Many people told me to do this during my first and second attempt but i thought i knew better and it was a mistake.
I wish you all the best luck for Sept.

Passed with 50% first attempt. I was convinced I had failed as it was the worst exam I ever sat. I am finished now, no more exams!!!
July 17, 2017 at 9:32 am #39691560 marks, 5th attempt! Someone earlier mentioned regarding ” god having his way of doing things”. That’s exactly what i was about to say. I mean i managed to assemble a fair response but judging from my previous attempts( 39%, 40, 38, 35) , the most i hoped i could get would have been the marginal pass. This time i was very cautious with time management so covered about 95% despite option questions being very tricky.
After the 3d fail i got very negative about the whole thing but managed to crack on. There is a sweet feeling of liberation. Going to have loads of liquor over the week end.
Tons of luck for those resitting in September!July 17, 2017 at 9:47 am #396934AnonymousInactive- Topics: 0

So after 4 resits I failed yet again with 46. This is my last paper and I am so disappointed as I thought I did better than last time when I got a 48. Really trying to keep my spirits up but it’s getting harder and harder to stay motivated.
July 17, 2017 at 9:48 am #396935Passed with 50% on my third attempt – this was my final paper so can get my life back now!!!
This is the only paper that I had to sit 3 times and it is a strange one. I thought the June Paper was ridiculous and was sure I had failed it as left about 20% behind with the time constraints and felt it was the worst I had done out of the 3 attempts. Very shocked that I passed but I’ll take it :O)
So to those of you who are struggling with this paper – you are not alone. Keep your head down and keep practicing the past questions timing yourself. Go over your notes for 30 mins first each study session and then also build up your notes from what you are learning from doing the past papers.
July 17, 2017 at 10:26 am #396961Failed with 38 marks only… Totally nonplussed, to be honest, as the paper did not even seem difficult. Question 1 looked rather like a typical question from the Revisions book… It really is hard to understand what exactly to improve in my answers…

Also got 47,so sad, would also like a study buddy
July 17, 2017 at 11:20 am #3970013rd time I fail this piece of s***t paper. Everytime I do my best and I fail. And you know what really makes me angry? Prizewinners in P5 dont get more than 85. This exams are designed to be bottlenecks for some reason. If I knew from the beggining how stupidly hard this papers are (p4,5,7) I would have never started ACCA. It’s to late for me to quit now due to the time and money I invested. I feel trapped and the only way out is retaking from now to infinity.
July 17, 2017 at 11:44 am #397017To all those who didn’t pass, please don’t give up. Passed on third attempt P5. The last papers are really hard especially P5 and P4.

Passed 2nd attempt from 48% to 53%. To all those that didn’t pass this time, don’t give up. I like this forum because it gives other ppl encouragement.
On my second attempt, I found the most important element is time management. If you get stuck on a particular question, just move on. This will give you more chance of answering the other questions
Now i have one more exam to go.
July 17, 2017 at 7:16 pm #397126Congrats. I am happy for you.
July 17, 2017 at 7:16 pm #397127congrats.
July 17, 2017 at 7:21 pm #397128Sorry to hear you didn’t pass but don’t give up. I have been in your shoes before. It took me 6 years to finally pass P5.
I would suggest you spend a lot of time solving past questions in order to familiarize yourself on how the theories were applied in the answers to the past questions. Better luck next time.July 17, 2017 at 7:27 pm #397133sorry to hear your sad news but don’t give up yet. Put the text book somewhere and focus your time on the past questions. That’s the key to passing this paper. It took me such a long time to finally understand this paper and when i did, i passed after 6 years struggling. Better luck next time.
July 17, 2017 at 7:29 pm #397134sorry to hear this.I like your mentality. Never give up. i would suggest you focus on the past questions.Better luck next time.
