Passed my final exam now an Affiliate.
Thanks to God almighty I couldn’t have done it without you.
Thank you Open Tuition you are angels on earth, only used Open Tuition and did past exams while working also.

For those who failed don’t give up, do a lot of mock exams under time pressure and mark them to see where you need to improve & to make sure you understood the question requirements refer to past papers and model answers bearing in mind they don’t expect you to come up with such detailed answers in the real exam but it’s a guide.

Also you need to have good time management to cover the whole paper, if time is up move on to the next question after leaving space for it as you can always come back to it.

All the best to those re sitting.

Failed – got 49% – devastated. Thought I got much higher marks. To fail by 1 mark is terrible.. How does one get a remark??

I had 49% in June 2015 for P5. I requested the admin review, but they did not change my marks. During the admin review they do NOT re-read and re-mark your answers. I can forward to you their reply regarding their admin review of my paper, you will see that it does not make sense.

53% first attempt. very relief. i think time management is the most important here. P5 builds on P3 but the time constraint is much worse

The main bit of advice I would offer is; learn the models inside and out; practice as many questions as possible and review the suggested answers; and use the additional material provided by ACCA e.g. podcasts and technical articles.

I passed on my 4th attempt with 55%. I was slowly losing hope with this paper. The key ideas to pass this exam is thinking like a Business Performance Manager and providing ideas how the company (in the scenario can improve their current performance).

I would advise practicing as much questions as possible and reading newspaper articles and understanding how the reporter analyses the company’s performance and their future strategic improvements they will or hope to conduct.

    Thanks.

Passed on first attempt with 53% after answering only 70% of the paper (I missed out the 15 mark EVA calculation in Q1 and couldn’t understand the requirements of Q4a which related to Porters 5 Forces and was also 15 marks).

    One to go!!!
