I thought this was a brilliant paper but very time pressured so hope I’ve done enough
Q1 football scenario with referees match fixing, questions were about internal controls,
Q2 AGM,s company sold off assets NCA without telling shareholders and 60% investors voting by proxy to the board
Q3 3 es and tucker- 2 projects to build a dam and where was best to build
Q4 I think was the roles of the board
A great paper if I had double the time to write I defo would pass

I find it more on the difficult side as the questions were quite tough and I don’t know if I will pass this time ?

As for the benefit a few ideas I put forward:

Clear guidance on best practice
Provides examples
States NFA’s value & ethics
Defines corporate culture / sets organisational tone

As mentioned above, I believe overall the paper was fair however heavily time pressured.

It’s been fairly ok. Answered pretty much everything. Did some mistakes though. Guys, can anyone recall part iii of the first question?

Not a bad exam. Question 1 was alright apart from briefing paper format – probably not got many professional marks as wasn’t sure on format If anyone knows? Did in 3rd person as a guess but not confident.

Performance assessment report? Was it concerned about remmuneration committee? Assessment performance n see if there was alignment of interest with those of shareholders?
Was it also concerned about the compliance statement?
Auditors report on opinion on FS?
Could all these techniques be used to assess mgt performance??

My answers were all over the place. First of all, there were a lot of details in Q1, which i spent more than one and half hour in it. Mostly questions were all straightforward, but due to the time pressure can’t properly think and write.
Maybe lack of practice was the main factor.
i hope ill pass this.

Paper was fair, but time pressured.

Spent a lot of time in Q.1 because I felt I can earn maximum marks in it,

But didn’t do justice to Q.3 and Q.4 as i left a 7 marks and 8 marks blank.

I hope i scored enough to pass though, So i can move on to do P3 in December.

Hi everyone,
I was a little confused with governance roles of board committee question (Q1 a). What did you write regarding this?

Has anyone got access to a copy of the paper?
I wasn’t overly happy with the wording/structure of the last paragraph of Question 2 case study. It made it open for interpretation on whether or not it was the Private Shareholders, institutional investors or both that were unhappy with the outcome of the voting decisions at AGM.

Not sure if worth flagging to ACCA?

Was Easy Paper Though Time-Pressured. This paper really demands practice before exam especially two Mock attempts before exam would give you fair confidence and writing skill. I completed 83% paper and very hopeful to go through.
