How to do briefing notes?I mean..is there any particular format for that??
I found P1 to be the most time pressured exam I have sat, and I did a lot of practice questions in my revision stage. I think it’s difficult to replicate the pressure in the exam hall. I’m hoping I didn’t waffle too much and picked up enough marks to avoid a re-sit!
Hey
I felt something similar too but what is worse is that I sent myself an email to read an article on the ACCA website about the latest governance scandal – FIFA bribery but I didn’t read it!!
When I saw the Q1 I was screaming inside and my mind went blank for half an hour. I did not move on to Q2 and Q3 after 90 minutes and eventually only left myself 1 hour to do Q2 and Q3 🙁
Oh well…
Starting with I read the requirements of Q 2, 3 & 4. Made some points and finalized 3 as the first priority and left 2& 4 when I returned.
For Q1 study at first I was like I never read anything about referee sub-committee”!!
It was like Barcelona and Real Madrid case study. However, I found case study to be a longer one and I found the answers to be mixed up or quite repetitive. This part of deducing the choice of questions plus case study reading consumed much of my time.
A particular question “What should there be on the code of ethics of a referee”? was difficult. And I just wrote whatever came up to my mind.
Somehow I manged to do the paper, but still the one part of Section 2 was done hurriedly without much thinking.
Overall, I feel paper was 15 minutes longer.
