    If you failed even several times no need to give up. Just put yourself together and try again. We ‘ve all gone through it before.

    @samirrules – Thank you for your advice. I agree it must be technique. I knew about the chance of writing about business risk instead of audit while studying so unless I did this accidentally without realising (doubt it). I do know I was stumped at what to write for the big questions on CAAT and couldn’t have even scored half marks on that question but as for the rest of it I have no clue what went wrong. I didn’t know about the not writing check and I am pretty sure I used that word a lot so maybe I scored no marks for all of that!!

    I am printing out that article to read now! Thank you so much for your input as I just want to focus on passing this in June.

    @pauljaco
    – I thought I had done well in this too and got 46% – flabbergasted – started going over topics again to resit in June, however, I don’t think knowledge is the issue must be application

    @chloe

    Yeah I self studied for this module and noticed that I had no idea on how to Approach the exam so I found a bit on this site/Acca articles referring to the technique. If you have any more questions about the technique I used, I am happy to help. I think the Last twenty mark question was a little confusing too as it was difficult to get enough detail imo.
    Do you have an exam kit, I would recommend a Kaplan exam kit as when you try to practise questions, it gives you a full explanation on what the examiner is looking for. I think this something that could be useful, and I would try and do a couple of questions on each area as once you read the comments/explanation in the answers it should help give you an idea of what “terms”/explanation will get you the marks.

    Good luck and hope you all the best in your exam.
