I have answered saying – as long as company has a patent and new companies are restricted, the best variant to use skimming; once patent comes to an end – the best thing will be to switch to price discrimination. I feel that would be the best variant for business to do.As i remember the question asks us to choose between 2 options and also the data is pointing that they are launching the new product. So we should choose the more suitable option for current situation.

I went with B as it stated that parents felt academic achievement was more importantBut goverment ranks based on total point so they could prefer school 1

Yes, I mean after theory giving explanations what is what, I put what is the best.I said Market skimming as it is a unique product, eagerly awaited (big demand), saving millions of lives, and they had high development costs that they would want to recover quickly, no competition etc.
September 7, 2017 at 7:24 pm #406530govt is choosing an the best average of all isnt it

But goverment ranks based on total point so they could prefer school 1I chose the government will prefer high ranking and points the reason why I chose this is because of the effectiveness measure as this is a measure of output.
for the parent’s behaviours, I chose it as common sense choose. not too sure about it though

About the chart, part C
It was so funny that i did not know how to get the price from the chart
However, question 27 needs question 26’s answer.
I left these questions to do last.
Expected sale = 3000
Bep = 250 so the price should < 3000/250 = 12 so exlude 2 answers ( c and d) left with 7.5$ and 10$Then i entered 2 prices into question 27 and figured out price = 10$ and MOS = 16.67%
Hope it true :d

that what i got too,
but i did it in a different way.
I thought if the total sales $ 3000 and break even point 250 unit then sales price must be $10 🙂

Hope us all pass :pSeptember 7, 2017 at 8:40 pm #406589Hi no it was MC – variable so I did not add fixed costs. I used fixed costs(sub) to calculate the profit at the end.
How about yourself? I think my MC was around 208!
September 7, 2017 at 11:25 pm #406629Hi guys
Could you please tell me , how did you get the revised sales units on sales volume planning variance. I got stuck on that .
Thank you in advanceSeptember 7, 2017 at 11:45 pm #406630@deepapoudelkandel said:

Thank you in advancecan’t exactly remember the exact number, but from the top of my head the budgeted price was 50 and the price should have been same as the competitor which it was 53 and the actual sale price was 55.
Actual price 55
revised price 53
budgeted price 50
therefore the planning variance was 3 per unit favorable
and operational 2 per unit, also favorable and of course, you need to multiply by the number of actual units sold
I hope I got that correct
September 8, 2017 at 9:38 am #406679I could not get my head round the volume variance. But i just did 25% of 96000. I know that it is wrong 🙁
