    F5 was easy ! 50 marks were a piece of cake. No excuses for well prepared students like us. Only with Opentuition and a revision kit, you could write 70 and 80 marks at ease.

    strange question),i got mc = 8.6$ (i think) and calculated MR from the fact that 1mln batches max => p=0 xD (slope was -0.004, from the description) => by equating got 999,999 batches for profit maximizing strategy

    Athanasios, I do hope you pass. But I would not be so positive about it. At least they complicated questions about throughput in part B. Also ROI questions were confusing (especially with depreciation and what and should not be included in the net profit).
    As for me Part A was ok, B – 50/50, C – not bad, apart the above.But will see on the 16th October.

    Yes, it was a weird question. I did not calculate it based on the maximume 1 m batches. How did you calculate the learning curve fir the batches? Could u please show us how u did u calculate it?

    Does anyone remember the answers to section A and B MCQ’s?

    How about Q32, I got both division performing above the target ROI of 18%. Anyone got similar answer? Lol

    Not sure about that. Section A looked suspicously easy! Section B was not easy, and Q31 was a difficult one.

    Que 31..In exam i didnt know how to get value for a..but after coming home i realised that at maximum demand price is 0..therefore 0=a-(1000000 ×0.0004)
    a= 400….i regret i dint think during exam time

    Q31
    P=a-0.0004*1mln
    Mr=a-0.0008*1mln
    a-800=Mc
    Mc is calculated
    Then,
    A is found
    Then put value of “a”into P=a-bQ formulae.
    Please, who did the same?

    Q32
    In calculation of PBIT : only 70%is divisions depreciation, remaining should be added back to profit figure.Did you make the same?
    As for new purchase, depreciation is already deducted as it was said:”depreciation which is included into above figures”,so I didn’t do anything.I now doubt this…

    The way i have shown above once you get value for a which is 400.
    Mr=400-0.0008Q..when mc is not given take it as 0(from revision kit question)thus mr =0
    0=400 -0.0008q thus q= 500000..
    P=400-(0.0004 ×500000)
    P=200 .

    Are you sure?what kit did you practice?
    Because, in this case there is no need in marginal cost whereas they give huge data fot it’s calculation.

    Milka, I agree with you Marginal Cost = MR, hence we needed to calculate marginal cost, we needed to find labour cost as well to show our skills of learning curve – that is why we were given massive information about it.

    They do not deduct points, even if you have got incorrect final answer, they will give some points for showing calculations, as far s you are going everything correct.
