can u tel me about long question on which topic ?
March 9, 2018 at 8:41 am #441702Well at least I wasn’t the only one who found this exam very difficult The questions took a while to complete in section A. In Section C I struggled to get my head around the transfer pricing question – understand the theory but applying it to the question was difficult. So disappointing.

So disappointing.for me section a was more or less ok but b and c with this transfer pricing nightmare.
March 9, 2018 at 9:13 am #441705it wasn’t only you to find it difficult, thats for sure
i found the section A q’s very detailed, so much information to process for only two points, it took forever to read and reread it and to come up with an answer… its impossible to fit that in 3.6 minutes…
i didn’t like how the big q’s were split into three separate q’s, i had to go back and forth so i can use the info from the previous one…March 9, 2018 at 12:11 pm #441738I received a survey from ACCA asking about my experiences of the March exam sitting. I gave precise details about how bad the CBE software is. Would encourage all who receive one to reply so ACCA can make needed changes.

It was a very hard paper.it was very difficult paper to pass through, i was giving the exam first time and i did so much practice but i couldn’t find any of the similar questions. every question was unique. i was thinking that ACCA has made CBE compulsory from March-18 so it will be a bit easy paper than before but i was wrong. does anyone feel the same? it was disaster….
March 9, 2018 at 2:55 pm #441773I got 51% for the contribution/sales ratio
March 9, 2018 at 5:39 pm #441184What was the bottlneck resource- variants was like wood materials, labour hours, demand.I chose demand
March 9, 2018 at 5:39 pm #441457lucky you with the paper based exams…
there is always an issue with the computers… we were all together 4 people yesterday, two of us had problems. My computer froze in the middle and i had to move stations… it’s not a big deal in normal circumstances but at the exam this hard was very distracting, it took me forever to be able to concentrate again… but ACCA are all about time management and stuff… it’s hard to manage your time when you get distracted all the time…
The girl next to me had earplugs… how come i never thought about that….March 9, 2018 at 6:34 pm #441865Yeah i chose demand too! Thats why other resources were greater than what would be needed for covering total demands.
March 9, 2018 at 7:08 pm #441887It’s all about money by making it hard on purpose. One of the main reasons why they don’t publish the full past papers so no one can contradict them.
Should we do a petition to these people that think that they passed their exams and now they have the power to stop other from having a decent exam like they had in their time.
Very unfair exams and unfair examiner. This is my 4th attempt to sit for F5. Honestly this is the hardest exam ever. They should lower the pass rate.
I have done all the sacrifices and worked less hours and invested such time to study for a too much nonsense detailed exam.
Should we create a petition to lower the pass rate?
Speak up people because they are stealing money from our pockets.

I completely agree with you.we should do something about it.
March 9, 2018 at 9:14 pm #441921Happy to sign the petition!
It was my 7th CBE and I thoroughly prepare for each paper. F5 Mar exam was nonsense, the number of complex question was out of proportion. Scenarios of sections B and C questions were way too long and not always clear to understand quickly under time pressure.
I am sure that all prepared students could come up with correct solutions if time allows.
It wasn’t fair test of knowledge.March 9, 2018 at 11:36 pm #441947Of course they are stealing our money, ACCA is the only institution that doesn’t return student exams and now with computer based they found the opportunity to cancel off any chance of it.
The market is already saturated of accountants, perhaps that is how they can stop new entrants by cutting the dream out of our misery. BPP revision kit doesn’t reflect the knowledge required to sit such an exam, now tell me why?
But after all I am really grateful to Open tuition which was brilliant , Sir John Moffat is amazing, it was great pleasure to watch his videos, proper lecture nothing like most of the other providers usually do! READING ALOUD TO US…
Just considering change into AAT or Cima too much “bs”. We give everything into it whilst they are there laughing through their teeth.March 9, 2018 at 11:37 pm #441948@marmar22 said:

I’m too in…. How to make sure that our concerns & pEtitions reach the acca head office?
March 10, 2018 at 7:45 am #441979Very time pressured, had to guess about 5 mcq at the end as I ran out of time. Section can was very difficult.
March 10, 2018 at 8:11 am #441984I too agree that this exam was nothing like the practice questions. I have a Kaplan exam kit and a BPP one too and I was doing well with the questions and my timing. I put so much time and effort in to this as it was my 2nd attempt and the exam was totally unfair with questions that I have not had to deal with in such detail before and the questions that were meant to be taking under 4 mins were taking me 10 mins!! Not to mention the added pressure of being made to do it on a computer! I have given some very negative feedback to ACCA about this and I hope everyone else does too. They need to mark this paper in view of it being so hard. Make your voice heard people!!!! Don’t rely on others to do it for you!
March 10, 2018 at 12:17 pm #442049yes. I got demand.

March 11, 2018 at 5:41 am #442133Same? ur centre and lab name?
March 11, 2018 at 5:49 pm #442226In past questions nor in BPP practice kit, i have never seen a quest where minimum price was higher than maximum price, when i calculated and got $14 i thought this was wrong and switched my answer to 3+4+1=8. Since it was the last question and i had only 2 minutes left i did not have time to think they wrote it like this on purpose to challenge us, now that i think about it i think they wanted us to comment that Div A will not trade selling to external market so to trade to Div B as it will make a loss per unit sold and Div B will not accept the minimum price of Div A so, Div B shuld take what they can get from Div A so whole company can be profitable but outsource all other from outside.
Any teachers here than can discuss with us what they think?
March 12, 2018 at 5:40 am #442274I got 14.

Hey Thiago – sat mine in Kensington College too but I must have been in a different room – ours was quiet, but for some reason made us sit in front of the computers for 40 minutes doing nothing before the exam
which I found odd.did you sit a CBE F5 paper if yes i think it is usually different, i sat a paper base and section C was a learning curve with a variance question in it and the other one was transfer pricing, both very detailed and tricky.
