Pass first time with 65%
Honestly, the Open Tuition lectures are SO good. I will never forget the Audit risk lecture where the lecturer taught us how to answer a question on tests of controls. Always use Inspect/reperform and then write TO CONFIRM…….
Audit procedures: Action + Source+Reason (i.e. inspect + title deeds+ to confirm…)
My answers were very short and concise. Each idea in a separate sentence. I managed to finish the exam and then proofread my answers. Just in time.
It is not about quantity but quality and being strategic
Also want to remind everybody who reads this that people are paying hundreds for an ACCA course. We should be grateful and donate.
July 19, 2021 at 1:07 pm #628738First attempt. 66%. Thank you SO MUCH John and Open Tuition team. You are amazing!!!
May 6, 2021 at 10:00 pm #619902Thank you. Does anyone know where I can find that ACCA video podcast? Thanks
January 18, 2021 at 10:07 am #606696Thank you so much OpenTuition!. I passed first time with 67%. Open tuition lectures, BPP revision kit and previous papers on ACCA website.
December 10, 2020 at 6:01 pm #599178@sflynn120 Thanks for replying. What a relief. Please keep positive. Fingers crossed we will pass.
December 10, 2020 at 5:50 pm #599164You dont need that for CSPL. For profit and loss it is only the share of the profit of the subsidiary -share of PUP
December 10, 2020 at 5:07 pm #599134Hi everyone,
I was surprised that I did not see any lease or financial instrument in my exam. Very weird. Mainly contracts revenue, PPE, intangibles and Gain in Exchange rate. This in section A and B
In section C one of the questions was to do a CSPL. I got that NCI was a profit but there was a loss attributable to the Parent company?
Thank you
December 2, 2020 at 7:09 pm #597425In BBP exercise 317 Fresco (Jun 12 amended) they capitalised the deposit and then depreciated it. The deposit is not included in the liability to calculate the interest.
November 22, 2020 at 11:55 am #596048Good question. I actually get 162,500 which is not even a possible answer.
October 26, 2020 at 6:54 pm #593196That is great! thank you for your swift reply. Very helpful indeed. It is now clear to me why we were using 2 different figures for the cost: one in SPL and another in SFP.
Have a lovely week.

October 24, 2020 at 8:16 pm #593049If you add workings and your layout is easy to understand the chances of getting points increase significantly.
October 19, 2020 at 2:17 pm #590497To all those who are grateful to Open tuition I would like to encourage you to donate. I just cant imagine what I would do without them!
October 19, 2020 at 2:11 pm #590493First time passed with 66%. Thank you John Moffat!
I have to say the exam was awful, badly written etc etc. For those who did not pass please don’t give up, I believe next time It wont be as tricky as this one.
I studied more than in any other exam: Open tuition lectures, some exercises of BPP workbook and all the exercises of BPP revision kit. I did all passed papers on the ACCA website and read all the articles. Still I dont think I have ever seen something as complicated as the PM exam Sep 20.
October 11, 2020 at 3:34 pm #588639Hey guys. Do you read the study text AND watch the lectures? I thought Lectures and revision kit plus past papers was enough?
September 10, 2020 at 6:40 pm #584854I just had a look at the comments in other chats about other exams but they are OK. It seems that we were the lucky ones..
I bet it was a new person who designed our PM exams, or as someone said they did it in a rush.
It would be devastating having to re-sit because of their mistakes. The least they can do when they make a mistake in one question (I.e. the simultaneous equations that could not be solved ) is to give us those 2 points for the damage caused.
September 10, 2020 at 1:40 pm #584732Same here. Tried to solve the equations but they cancelled each other out?
September 10, 2020 at 1:19 pm #584715I am concerned that if I take the survey and complain that sone of their questions were not clear it will affect my exam result somehow.
yes I know they say it wont.. do not know whether to believe them or not.
September 10, 2020 at 1:17 pm #584710I agree with you all. It feels like they made it more difficult on purpose?
Very tricky sentences, badly worded, too many questions where we had to type in the answer as opposed to choosing a b c or d. Too long questions for the time allocated.
I studied like never before. run out of past papers and technical articles and I had never seen an exam as complicated as this.
April 13, 2020 at 10:47 am #567844Passed first time with 65%. Just watched all the Open Tuition lectures and did all the revision kit exercises.
I encourage every body who uses this platform to donate and say thanks to Open tuition.
