July 31, 2021 at 7:46 pm #629960Hi sir,
I did finish the question but I was trying to work out the std mix… I have also watched the lectures videos however in this example ratios were given… it is incorrect because I didn’t use the materials mix equation…
What would the equation be in this case for the standard mix?

May 24, 2021 at 7:09 pm #621662Hi sir…
I’ve found a way to do it e.g
8a(r^3)=34.3
8(12.5)((r^3)=34.3
r=34.3/(8*12.5))^(1/3)
=0.70May 20, 2021 at 9:36 pm #621251Thanks you so much sir
May 19, 2021 at 7:32 pm #621111Apologies…
the question was how did the budgeted sales increase to 40,000 units? But how did you get the total fixed overheads?
May 15, 2021 at 10:10 pm #620696Apologies for the A… it was the way I copied and pasted the question
May 15, 2021 at 10:08 pm #620694Hi sir…
I figured it out… the ratio is the percentage of the actual quantity actual mix..
e.g 30% of 6000…
I have watched your lectures but it was the ratios that was making me look at the question difficult.. I have never seen this material yield question like this before… I worked it out using the individual method and not the total… i got -800… I added the variances -6300+ 10000+ -4500= -800May 12, 2021 at 5:46 pm #620423Thank you so much for your help sir!
I’ve figured it out now… ??
May 12, 2021 at 3:53 pm #620407Apologies but I’m still not getting that…
9000/16×1,500=0.375
I am putting 4 ?0.375 = 0.75 not 0.78
Even when I use the square root twice I’m not getting this figure..April 25, 2021 at 4:42 am #618774– attempt past papers… do them and do them again – I go over past papers a million times! I scour the internet for them.. quizzes and mock exams! It helps understand the meaning behind definitions and concepts.. look at the answers, read the examination marking..
– try different methods of studying; watching YouTube videos, revision cards, going through the text books etc
– the key is repetition… you will remember information and how to answer questions by memory..January 15, 2021 at 2:33 pm #605958ACCA accredited revisions books are very detailed but if you don’t mind a simplified version then forums like open tuition will be the best for you.. depends on what your learning style is..
