It is going to be the toughest syllabus the next years,
i am expecting that it will have 25%-30% of success, like it was P5.
For sure i must read all articles in full and try to get the best out of it.
I also think that various BPP and Kaplan exam kits, need to be revamped so as to reflect the actual exams difficulty.
Disastrous exams…..April 16, 2018 at 9:02 am #447207Passed by 64%, with second attempt (first on December was 49%, which made me crazy)
Anyway, the ones that have failed, just don’t give up, try to do many questions from the exam kit and to understand the procedures, that an auditor make use of to reconfirm information extracted by the customer. Try to have an understanding of the differences between test of controls and substantive procedures. Make all these familiar to you by reading and reading examples and also make use of internet info, like opentuition andd youtube(which has many videos explaining of various topics of syllabus).
And the most important, start the effort from now, don’t wait until the last week before the exams, it’s very stressful and risky too. I know that the majority of acca students work, but if you dedicate a little time everyday (20-30 minutes in a 2 month period) it will be much easier. Good luck to everybody with our next exam sessions !January 15, 2018 at 9:04 am #42982249% first attempt….
I am not giving up of course, as it is my last from Fs.
I will start revising from now !
Congrats to the ones that succeed and to the ones that failed, just keep trying and never give up.July 17, 2017 at 9:13 am #396892I got 63(my last F exam), by 4th attempt. Previous scores:
September 2016: 46
December 2016: 49
March 2017: 49
Now P exams at issue…..My story, shows that you should never give up.
Never Give Up !!!!!
Read all technical articles and see all study support videos in ACCA official site
and of course take the best from opentuition videos & notes !August 8, 2014 at 11:43 am #188421I got 51, but i expected over 70.
Anyway i am very happy and relieved with it.December 11, 2013 at 11:25 am #152360In Question 3 the answer for the “a” is:

December 3, 2013 at 9:07 am #149405Good morning to all !
Yesterday i failed (again) for sure… I was so confused that i couldn’t make any sense from the first 3 Qs.
Q4 and Q5 were the easiest, but i didn’t do well.
Anyway, in the Q that learning curve was included, what i did was Y=ax^b = 200*8^-0.1844245
and then Y=200*7^-0.1844245. The outcomes were multiplied by 8 and 7 respectively and the difference of
these two gave the time needed for the 8th batch produced.
Then if you multiply this number with last 8 batches of november, you find the time needed for november and then
you multiply iy with $12 the hourly rate and you find the cost for november.
For the first 8 batches of july-October :
July = 200hours * 12=$2400
for the rest three months (august, september, october) you calculate “Y” for 2,3,4,5,6 products
and you do the proper calculation.
Anyway in the beginning i messed it with calculations with my calculator, so i expect nothing.
It’s a pity to know what to do and not doing it because of nervousness effect.
I am sticked to it, in june i will pass for sure.June 10, 2013 at 1:39 pm #131286Just a stupid question!
Does it really matters if someone forget to write his name apart from his student number?(Stress is one of the worst enemies in ACCA exams)
