How did you find Q4? There was limited information and the company was in the safe zone.
Feedback please…

download the latest version of P4 notes – there is a new chapter added on islamic finance (although, it is the same as in F9 notes) so if you have F9 opentuition notes – you already have this chapterThank you, Sir! π

So from the link attached in my previous post, are these are the only exposure drafts examinable at this sitting? ThanksI believe they are the only ones examinable. If you see on the first page of the Examinable Documents 2012 (top right), it says “The documents listed as being examinable are the latest that were issued prior to 30th September 2011 and will be examinable in June and December 2012 examination sessions.”

why sadly? I think it’s better that one standard that you don’t know would be tested. if several – at least you should know smth on any of them πDidn’t see it that way, thanks! π
December 7, 2012 at 2:47 pm #110884Hi
Presently, I am practicing past paper questions on consolidated cash flow statements. What have you been emphasizing on?
I believe you must have a sound knowledge of all IASs and IFRSs, as you can never be sure what may come for Q2 and Q3. Sadly, the recent exams have shown a tendency for ‘mixed bag’ questions testing various standards in one question.
Good luck with your revision!December 7, 2012 at 2:17 pm #110881Hi.
Thank you for your response.
In reply to your question, ACCA discourages rote learning, so you may grasp the objective and specific requirements (presentation, recognition, measurement, etc.) of each standard and convey the same to the marker, as applicable, using your own words. That should give you good marks. Also make clever use of the information from the scenario to support your answer.
Good luck!October 5, 2011 at 5:31 pm #87571I am also attempting my final 4 papers in December 2011 – P2, P3, P4 and P5, with a full time job.
At this point, anything you do, might seem insignificant, but it is very important that you do it. Just make up your mind once for all, keep going and success is guaranteed – 100%!
May God bless you all with success in whatever paper you are taking.. π
June 15, 2011 at 1:10 pm #85207Did question 1,3,4. Real time pressure though.. π
June 14, 2011 at 1:25 pm #85088Nice paper!
Q1(a) & (c) were quick wins and the CSFP was easy with adjustments being just fine!
Did Q2 and Q3 in Section B, and a vast range of standards was tested! Did lack some time in the end, but overall seems a passable paper! π
Thank you OT for the video lectures! Almost heard the lecturer in my mind during the exam! π - AuthorPosts
