April 13, 2020 at 8:14 am #567766Hi
Tips that worked for me. I started studying last week of January whilst working full time. I am registered with BPP but I didn’t open my bpp study text for one day. I used Kaplan study text, bpp exam kit, watched video lectures.
Studying- Audit risk, procedures, test of controls: there are verbs the examiner is looking out for when starting off your sentences for these topics, especially for audit risk- master them.
Bpp exam kit- I covered the bpp kit twice. The first time was to practice all questions (practical and rote learning)and the second time was to practice the rote learning topics only ( these rote learning topics are the easy marks in the theory part). Apart from these, do not cram your text. You need to put yourself in the shoes of an auditor and be practical.
Kaplan exam kit- I didn’t have so much time to go through the entire Kaplan kit but I used this exam kit to revise audit risk because that was the topic I found a bit difficult.
Practice acca past exam sample questions as well. They are usually more difficult and make sure you revise the answers to understand what you may have done wrong. Practice a lot of objective questions! They can be tricky but practice a lot to know how to identify trick questions.
Finally this worked for me- for every theory question I did on all my kits, try to write down your answers on paper. When you review the answer kit for corrections, re-write them on paper( it helps you not to forget) and if possible (I did this to a large extent) use your laptop, open MS Excel and type down your answers in exam format. This will help you test your speed in exam condition.
All the best!!!!
April 13, 2020 at 12:40 am #567572I passed with 68 percent. Honestly the objective questions were really tricky I was quite scared.

April 12, 2020 at 12:55 pm #567288Same here! I want to write PM and FR in september. My FR weekend class starts this coming Saturday with BPP and I don’t know how I can combine the class for PM too.
I’m just really confused I have never done two classes before. Like how to study for two acca courses while working full time

I know this is a March exam results count down and I’m also nervous for my results but looking ahead can people who have already sat for exams FM and FR help me with this.Would you recommend me sitting for those 2 exams in the September sitting. I’m working full time and used to sitting 1 exam per session what would you recommend. It’s really tempting to take 2 exams but I also feel like it might be a bait?
Same here! I was planning to sit FR in March then FM in september. Now i will be sitting both. I think the best is to plan your study accordingly and study both at the same time up till september but honestly I don’t know because it would be my first time trying this approach.
I just know i will take the two papers in Sept.
what do you plan on doing?December 3, 2019 at 7:40 pm #554749I really can’t tell. It was not easy. Section C kept me on it for a while and then i had to rush through the mcq. Will share my success story
