Just put it in myacca, have you got your contact of employment? If you have could use that as evidence that you worked there!
April 18, 2016 at 2:25 pm #311303I didnt get an email or a text this time round that I found weird! I has always worked in the past and I even got a text from them last week reminding me of the exam entry date. I ended up waiting till 5am and logging into myacca but it was good news so wont complain too much!
April 18, 2016 at 2:15 pm #311293Top tip for people who are resitting… Read the question and answer bank, read it again then practice the questions. You will soon see a pattern of what the marker is after. Worked for me 2nd time round!
April 18, 2016 at 11:12 am #31112260 on the 2nd time of asking, am over to moon!!

April 18, 2016 at 11:10 am #311118Passed with 60, very surprised that I passed!
March 8, 2016 at 8:38 am #304291I put things like:
-Check expected sales proceeds to estate agents packs or surveyors reports.
– Review tender documents or quotes for the price of building the complex for completeness
– seek advise from quantity surveyor as to expected cost
– something about the cash balance. That’s all the ones I can remember, I think I put about 10 down in the end may to be on the safe side!
March 4, 2016 at 1:14 pm #303422Pq magazine has tips, look at this month’s magazine
March 4, 2016 at 1:11 pm #303421Performance information came up in December so doubtful that would come up again.
Everything else is likely though!
December 31, 2015 at 12:05 am #293064Hi,
I also got a desmond and I have just sat my last exams. I found the exams a step up from uni exams so be prepared!!
I think the annual fee is for a calendar year no matter when you register, also bear in mind the fee for each exemption you might be able to claim are the same as the early exam fee!!
Finally the work experience thing is a bit out. As far as I am aware as long as you are doing accounting related work then it counts as work experience. My first employer was not acca registered but it counts as I was an assistant management accountant.
Any other queries please ask, more than happy to help!

I thought the 4 marks is spread to the 4 issues, wasn’t?I thought that it depended to what the rest of the industry had done, so if the rest of the industry had fallen by 5% then to take 1% growth would be pretty good. Also was a competitive industry!!
December 4, 2015 at 9:35 am #287476Look at the jd weatherspoons annual report for a new style audit report, made me understand it better after seeing a real life example!
November 30, 2015 at 12:51 pm #286414Hi Chris,
As someone who is doing P6 for December I would definitely recommend you do it when the F6 knowledge is fresh, the examiner constantly comments that people do not have a good knowledge F6 when sitting this paper.
November 29, 2015 at 1:38 pm #286133If you are a UK taxpayer then you can claim some of the fee back as they increase your personal allowance by the amount of the membership, so in effect you get a 20% deduction from the fee.
This can also be backdated 3 years as well, I did it with the membership fee and got a cheque back for £30 past year!
This is all dependent if you are in a relevant job!
November 12, 2015 at 4:39 pm #282007My interpretation Is able to use/ create pivot tables, vlookups, macros etc
October 29, 2015 at 12:56 pm #279523Yes, I found it one of the smallest syllabus areas of all the exams I have sat and did not spend too much time at all. I ended up sitting it after a month of part time studying and passed first time!
Most of it is common sense with remembering some models such as PESTEL, Porter 5 forces etc.
September 10, 2015 at 3:43 pm #271068Wasn’t too bad apart from being really time pressured! Question one was straight forward with following the example they used. The calcs to outsource or not were quite simple. Quite a few easy marks I hope!!
Question 2 about the it package was ok and question 4 wasn’t too bad. Unfortunately I ran out of time to do 4b and also couldn’t remember abc from my f5 days!!
August 1, 2015 at 9:51 am #264199I used the admin review for f9 last year…biggest waste of £50 ever!
Think I saw an article in pq magazine recently that said that one person out of over 1000 had their result changed but still wasn’t enough to pass!!
August 1, 2015 at 12:13 am #263503Passed with 50% soooooo relieved?
July 29, 2015 at 10:13 pm #262869I would also like to know!
July 22, 2015 at 10:20 pm #261453I work for a very big company and they pay for courses, membership, travel to college and will repay you the exam fee once you have passed. Also give you time of to go to college.
If I remember I think you have to be with the company for 1 year after completion.
February 10, 2015 at 9:18 pm #227734Don’t bother! Applied for one a few sittings ago and what a waste of time it was. Think I saw an article somewhere (could be pq) that stated the chances of getting a change in mark was 1/1000, and the result still did not change!
February 10, 2015 at 9:11 pm #227733Personally p3! P2 syllabus is really big and will need a lot of time practicing sofp, cashflow statements and p&l! Just tried it in December and didn’t work for me!
October 7, 2014 at 7:46 am #203695Hi,
They can only get access to your records if you sign a disclaimer allowing them to. I have just signed one with my current employer when I signed on to their acca programme.
August 8, 2014 at 7:49 am #1882123rd attempt and got 42 again! Really disappointed! Looks like 4th time lucky in December!
February 9, 2014 at 8:13 am #1571642nd attempt and got 42%. Utterly disappointed as I thought I had soo much better first time round and felt confident coming out the exam! Anyone had luck with an administrative review?
