Forums › ACCA Forums › General ACCA Forums › Can employers find out the number of times you have resit a paper?
Hi there
I’m currently applying for jobs, and was just wondering if employers can find out from ACCA if you have resit exams & how many resits have you done? I ask as my F7 record isn’t the best! (passed on my 3rd attempt)
Thank you!
Hi,
They can only get access to your records if you sign a disclaimer allowing them to. I have just signed one with my current employer when I signed on to their acca programme.
Generally no cause the record only shows exams passed. However if you allow disclosure, then while you work with them they will know how many times you fail a paper in their employ.
Personally, I wouldn’t work for someone that bothered about my exam record
But on the whole, no they cant. I have only ever had one employer even ask to see any certificates to prove what stage I was at
