Thank you for your post and that has really motivated me, i have failed this paper lots of times but hey your post has just rejuvenated me. Thank u
March 14, 2017 at 10:38 pm #378266The most difficult exam paper i have ever set in my life . No amount of revision would have helped, i think the aim of the examiner was to fail people not examining concepts.
March 11, 2017 at 11:43 am #377795Question 1 was a disaster , i think this is the hardest exam paper i ever sat. I failed in December but i can attribute that fail to poor time management but this time it was the difficulty of the paper.
January 21, 2017 at 11:02 am #368669How long did you study for this paper
January 21, 2017 at 11:01 am #368668How long can someone need to do P2 ? I am yet to start
January 19, 2017 at 6:42 pm #368394Do you really need a solid background in P2 to pass P7? Someone help
January 19, 2017 at 6:34 pm #368391I failed P4 coz i did not attempt one of the questions coz of time management. Where i have managed to be in time was when i started with questions in Section B then finish with Question 1 .
January 18, 2017 at 9:59 am #368128I failed with 38 without even P2 background and that was for 2 weeks of listening to the exam technique without even knowing any standard . P7 i think its a more practical paper than a theoretical one . Lets not give up we will get there.

October 17, 2016 at 8:27 am #343983Hi i am sorry to hear that you have failed but do not loose heart . I passed on my 4th sitting . My first sitting i got 41 , 35, 44 and then 58.
October 17, 2016 at 8:21 am #343968Passed with 58 and my 4th attempt . My downfall the previous sittings was due to Q1 but this time i focused more on Q1 and the result excellent. Funny enough i did not study hard as my previous sittings.
September 8, 2016 at 1:24 pm #339045I spoke on Xuland the country , the question on corruption was very easy . How to prevent corruption i think many answers can do but i wrote the following
1) People should be rewarded if they turn in those who are on the wrong side eg accepting or offering bribes
2)Teaching and engaging the community on the dangers of corruption
3)Employing many ethnics to prevent collusion
4)Police can be rotated or reassigned their jobs , i expanded a little on this one.The barriers are as follows
1)Police accepting bribes
2)Only one ethinic employed
3)Too close to the prime minister
4)Countries seen to speak against corruption in Xuland are denied oil.I should have added media being controlled by the govt but time not on my side
Still on Q1
Why splitting roles between CEO and chairman
Chairman to concentrate on shareholders interests
Avoiding conflict of interest
To avoid too much power in one individual
and also why appointing Non executive chairman
to monitor and scrutinize the board because of his perceived independenceOn remuneration why disclose discuss
For transparency purposes as this will underpin investor confidence but you might not disclose it so that your competitors might not know what your board members are being paidImportance of internal controls
Managing quality
feedback mechanism
risks that would not be known will be known
compliance purposesThere was also a bit on agency
Inaccuracy reporting will lead to a conflict of interest as the agents have to align their goals to those of the principalWhy linking remuneration to performance
i did include the contents of a remuneration package and explained on that .Also there was a question on what is corruption , i defined followed by example of bribery.
This is what i still remember about Q1, other parts i have forgotten but the other thing again i discovered was you could answer 1 part and leave out another part as 2 or 3 questions were asked in 1 question. It is very easy to say you have passed yet you have actually left other parts unanswered .September 8, 2016 at 11:38 am #339013My fourth sitting for this paper and the last sitting i got 44 . My downfall in previous sittings was Q1 but this time i think i have nailed the paper. I will not predict the marks but all my past predictions have been correct even the last one i failed i knew that if i were to pass it was going to be a marginal pass or fail. This paper i have nailed it and that is my prediction.
June 9, 2016 at 11:47 pm #321789It looks like this paper was hard going by the comments . I sat for P3 in March and Q1 i did not even understand it and surprisingly i passed. Dont think much and dont get stressed just wait for the results , u will be surprised that u have actually done well.
June 2, 2016 at 5:05 pm #318910December 2015 and March 2016 were not published by ACCA maybe due to 4 sittings per year.
May 25, 2016 at 10:37 am #317006Technical articles are a guide on what will likely feature in the exam, keep an eye on the latest articles especially those just before the exam days.
April 20, 2016 at 10:48 am #311869I have sent , check your email, wish u the best
April 19, 2016 at 12:35 pm #311669The advice i got during my learning process was , the length of the case should excite you because that is where the answer is . I used to hate those long cases but my attitude changed once i realised that approach, do not be intimidated by the length of the case.
April 18, 2016 at 10:36 am #311087Passed with 51% 2nd attempt , self study 4 more to go hopefully by september exams
March 11, 2016 at 3:19 pm #305610Call option mate .
March 11, 2016 at 3:17 pm #305607You are correct on that one , otherwise that poll is not a true representative of the actual facts.
March 11, 2016 at 7:05 am #305452The thing with P3 is answers are not in a multiple choice format , as long as you argue your case you are bound to get marks. That is the beauty of business analysis , its about persuasion. Others on pricing strategy used focus and others etc . The issue will be is your answer supported with facts.
