i managed to get 8000 :

$180000 divide by 30000 units = $6

28000 units x 6 = $168000 – $16000 = $8000 Favourable

but the answer is 10000 🙁

but that is how the question asked me during CBE F2 couple days ago.
it clearly stated at the question, beginning of the year, 3600, end of the year 280 and 960 left. is there any way to do this question ?

No. I attended an exam 2 days ago for F2 and failed. This is one of the questions that I do not understand. Thanks for your help by the way 🙂
