Hello everyone,
I have recently sign up for the Msc in PA under pathway 2 for the January 2019 intake.
Based on persons that have completed same they mentioned its a tedious course and u have to put in the necessary time to succeed. In addition , there is a lot of reading required and the papers are excerpts from various journals written by professionals.
I am starting with the Global Issue for Finance professional module. Is there anyone else doing same for Jan 2019 and anyone who completed willing to share their materials?
Why are u people discussing what u did for your answer and get ur blood pressure up? i find that very foolish. We all studied and did our best now lets wait in 6 weeks time for teh results.
The paper was overwhelming. After u attempt Question 1 u left drain. Too muchard to do and do little time. U really have to earn every mark in the paper.
I am very disappointed not in myself but the way the examiner are setting these papers.
This paper i am taking in June for first time. However, I have a few friends that has failed this paper multiple times and they are study guru.
I find that this paper requires analytic mind and approach. U first need to identify the problem, come up with a suggestion, but u need to do a little bit more in relaying how this will help to solve the solution.
If u cannot do those then i am afraid u will struggle with this paper.
i really despise this paper. I am sick of this garbage for a paper ACCA has. I mean most of these things in the syllabus would not even be used in the real world…
I failed this paper 3 times already only paper i ever failed for ACCA (finger cross) even finished P papers and not this F9. I think i did well for the first 3 questions , but Question 4 really sucker punch me and now i doubt i would gain a 50 overall cause i only attempted part of this question.
hi, I have failed this paper 3 times already. Like all of u is very frustating , its the only ACCA paper i failed to date (finger cross). I literally tried everything from going classes, txts, kit, doing revision course, using OT, i am really out of ideas. There is so many areas where i am weak and failing to interpret.
Every failing at this paper is eating out my confidence, it even affected my promotion at work as my employers wants me to finish level 2 even though i passed P exams. I am just not getting the concept of this paper and to me half of the stuff is garbage and most will not even apply to modern day life.
My friends told me it may be a problem with my structure of the answers as i am also gaining very low marks in my previous attempts. So i will look at that and work on it.
Check the study guide. NPV is a very critical topic in F9 and would not be deleted.
hi thanks for your input. I was told to just do the F9 alone by some friends, but i do not want to waste another 6 months. I may do it with P2. I did previously attended classes as well as the revision, but would definitely do the mock exams and get it marked.
Oh great guys, I think i have a better understanding of the WC [li]treatment now.
man this paper is not as difficult as people is making it out to be.. I think personally this paper is most common sense than anythng else. When writing just ask urself what would u do if u are the Audit manager and what would u be looking for. I am sure u can come up with answers regardless of the scenario.

as u can analyze , all the predication was different,so it means that u have to cover the syllabus to be in good shape come Dec 09th….
this paper was passable once u were well prepared..I finished with 5 mns to spare and as with most ppl Q1 &2 occupy most of the time..I think I screw up in question 1 , but still confident that I did enough to pass this paper.

Unfortunately for F5 I would not recommend spot studying.If u read the analysis by the examiner for Dec 2010 sitting she stated that students who spot study were under prepared and hence failed.
U have been given some good advice above, but since u are limting factor sis time then ur best shot is work past questions,so they bring out the principles and content..goodluck!
Aww thank you very much Mike! i now understand what Kaplan did..The way the formula was set down I misinterpret the function of the 3… Now with your approach is easier to comprehend..
balancing will only give u a mark or so , so do not dwell too much on it and take up uncessary time once u knw u gained the main marks u are good to go.. Here a tip if u do not balance just put in the same figure u get for the Total assets u bluff ur way their Let the marker find the mistake..lol
Examiner is clever Tort, I did not cover, my lectuer handouts had nothin about dividends, Overall I think I may barly crawl over the finish line..I studied for more harder topics.
