I’m so happy!!!November 26, 2013 at 11:55 am #147901And not all measures are KPI.
There may be lot`s of measures and but only few of them will be key measures, i.e. KPI.November 20, 2013 at 6:05 am #146912Thank you!
What about BPP`s tips?October 25, 2013 at 9:12 pm #143713I want to add there is a lot of misprints in P5 study text of BPP. I’m really disappointed to notice several misprints almost on every page (((
October 10, 2013 at 7:39 am #142471I purchased BPP materials (study text, exam kit and passcards) and several months later my friend gave me Kaplan text book as he successfully passed the paper and did not need the book anymore.
Therefore I have the opportunity to compare.
The material in BPP-book seems to me more structured and corresponds to the points of the syllabus which is a big plus of this book. But there is too much information in it, I think. You can`t always know which is the most important piece and should be learnt in details and which is worth just reading through. So you are likely to try to learn everything and then the information overloading comes which is no good. In this aspect Kaplan seems to me more compact.
Another point which I should mention is that Kaplan-book has lots of “test your understanding” exersices through the text whereas BPP gives just few – as a rule, very short – exercises through the text and at the end of each chapter there is a reference to one big exercise devoted to the chapter. The approach of Kaplan seems to me more appropriate from the learning point of view.October 2, 2013 at 9:38 am #141880Dear tutor,
Could you please tell me what is meant by saying “cancell in the end”?
Thanks in advance
August 8, 2013 at 6:12 am #135992Pass with 60 marks. The same result as I expected. Thanks to Opentuition for support 😉
July 10, 2013 at 7:18 am #133654Dear Yando,
Many thanks for your piece of advice.
You said about taking P6 – frankly speaking I have not thought about this option. The matter is that the tax legislation of my country is not examined by ACCA, unfortunately. More than that in the nearest future my job will not be concerned with the legislation of any foreign country.
But you are right to say that the pass rates are much higher in P6.
I think I will try to find out the opinions of the students who sat P6, studying the tax legislation of other countries. Thanks! I really appreciate your advice!
June 14, 2013 at 9:00 am #132140Hi Yando,
Well, I think career is not important here.
I want to know which of these two papers is easier because I want to become ACCA-member as quickly as possible.
The quicker I become a member the quicker I will get more time to devote to other things including career.
Preparation for exams takes me a lot of time.
If, for example, I`m more interested in financial accounting and my job is not concerned with audit but I know that P7 is much easier than P4, I will take P7 paper. But I can study the materials of P4 for myself, not for the purpose of exams when there is time-presser and stress.
It`s just my opinion, you may disagree with me.The question remains open. Any piece of advice will be appriciated 🙂
June 3, 2013 at 2:54 pm #128503Ok, the detailed explanation is not required. But should I give the short explanation of the model?
Or I should just state that I`m going to use PESTEL model and then follows the analysis?February 12, 2013 at 6:16 am #117443Me to
nepalitsya2000@mail.ruThanks a lot
February 10, 2013 at 6:06 pm #117117I would be very thankful if you share the materials with me:
nepalitsya2000@mail.ruAnd congratulations on passing the exam 🙂
February 6, 2013 at 3:03 pm #115026If it was not your last ACCA-paper this letter means nothing to you.
January 23, 2013 at 10:12 am #114276I`m also interersted in this question.
Guys, share your opinion, pleaseJanuary 21, 2013 at 2:30 pm #114174F4 and F8 seemed quite easy to me. But I am not sure if these are worth being taken as s mix for one session…
January 18, 2013 at 6:26 am #113835I`m going to take P3 in the next session. I`m ready to start learning.
But what is a group study session? Please, explain it to me. If I`m interested I will join you.January 16, 2013 at 2:36 pm #113752I want to try P3 and P5 in June 2013. Having read your comments, guys, I now realize it is possible to pass.
You`ve motivated me a lot, thanksJanuary 15, 2013 at 7:35 am #113607For P2 the link to answers is not active :((((((((((
January 9, 2013 at 12:43 pm #111691Maybe you`ve got some piece of advice for me? It will be very helpfull as I do intend to sit both papers in June.
May be you came to certain conclusions about preparing for these two exams simultaneously? What should I avoid when preparing? Did you prepare simultaneously or did you prepare for one paper first and then you started with the other one?
Which of these papers did you consider to be easier?
Any piece if advice will be appreciated 🙂December 28, 2012 at 6:18 am #111581@gabriel said:
@springtime,
let me give a feel for it.balanced score card, BCG model, Ratio analysis ( 3 of which featured in the last exam for both paper p3 & p5), Performance Pyramid, Building Block, SWOT analysis etc are frequently examined in both papers.
Though it is commonly acknowledged that there is a big overlap btw the 2 papers, it may be more appropriate to treat the 2 papers differently (angryhamtro comment above reffered).
My advice: at the very onset, do well to establish this overlap area then paln your appropriately. Doing this will enable you to be more effective in your study. The idea is for you to kill birds with a stone. Please note that the 2 Examiners have different exam style, it’s important you familiarise your with Examiners approach.
Best wishes!
Thank you very much! I`ll follow your advice, it`s really helpful.
I wish all of us to become ACCA-members as soon as possible)December 22, 2012 at 3:01 pm #56623@ansi said:

lean back and relax 🙂Delivery of any books always take longer then they promiss 🙂
i order book from Kaplan regularly. I’m from Russia and it always takes way more. They say it will take like 7-10 working days. And it never takes less then a month.
you might tell me , oh russia it’s so far 😀 hell no ..moscow is not that far! and a month for express delivery is way too much!If you are in Uk, you will get your books within 15 days if you are lucky. But now it’s the season of holidays and also many many institutions order books for the next year. So posting services are overloaded.
If you got a confirmation of your order good. But ensure that your mobile phone is included to your mailling address, othewrise it will be a problem.
If you are worried too much, simply call bpp and question them 🙂 it might make the whole process quicker 🙂Wish you to get them before new year :)))
I also have the experience of ordering from Kaplan. Their delivery was much quicker I should say…
December 21, 2012 at 6:17 pm #111584I was told that it is better to take P3 and P5. These papers are similar to each other.
December 19, 2012 at 11:21 am #108918As far as I know the fee can be utilized if you supply ACCA with the necessary documents proving your illness. But I think there is the dealine by which the documents should be sent to ACCA…
