58% passed first time and now an Affiliate!!! Thank you Lord and Open Tuition for all the support over the past 2 and a half years. I started this journey in January 2020 at level 1 and I self-studied using Open Tuition for all 13 exams and I managed to pass them all first time. Prior to January 2020, I didn’t know the difference between a debit and credit entry because I never did accounting in school and I made a decision to learn and pursue ACCA despite hearing all the stories about how hard it would be and that I needed to attended classes in order to stand a chance. I found out about this amazing website and after doing my first exam in February 2020, I became confident in the lectures and notes available here and I didn’t look back from that point! To all of you who didn’t pass or you still on the journey, please don’t give up and don’t listen to the negatives because if I could do it then so can you! You already in a great position to succeed just by being on Open Tuition so just watch the lectures, read the notes and get yourself a practice kit and you will do it too!

Congrats man! Any tips on your exam technique for this paper as I am planning to do it in June?
April 18, 2022 at 12:10 am #653557Wow passed with 50% on the dot after only attempting 80% of the paper! Thankful to the Lord and open tuition. 12 first time passes and now one paper to go!
March 24, 2022 at 2:21 am #651767I passed my Rap in period 43 first attempt and achieved Upper Second Class Honours all with the help and mentor-ship of Adrian Tan. When I started my search for a mentor, I came here and saw a few services and I reached out to one such but the poor communication turned me off and so I reached out to Learning Luminarium and Adrian answered all my queries in a timely manner before I even decided to register. The service was also more cost effective that the first one I reached out to and the guidance provided definitely helped me to pass despite doing topic 5 which I suspect was marked harsher because of how frequently it was done. If you want a mentor that will be honest and is knowledgeable of the requirements to pass then look no further than https://learningluminarium.com/.
March 22, 2022 at 9:24 pm #6516784pm EST today via email.” Note: this results email is being sent out over a period of 48 hours. Other students you know may not receive theirs until later. ” Is at the end of the email.
March 22, 2022 at 8:13 pm #651674Just got my results 10 minutes ago and I passed with upper second class honours!!! Thank you Lord!!! Also a big thank you to my mentor Adrian Tan from The Learning Luminarium who helped me to achieve this first time pass!
March 8, 2022 at 11:30 pm #650330I got the question about Yexmarine. I ran out of time as I had only 10 mins going into the final 16 mins question. I am hoping that i can scrape a pass because I just can’t with studying for this paper again. 🙁
January 17, 2022 at 1:22 am #646425Passed first time with 50% on the dot! Thanks Open Tuition as always for the lectures and notes.
December 6, 2021 at 10:57 pm #642830Thanks for the tips, did the exam today and used the strategy to do the 25 marks questions first and I was able to attempt all questions with about 5 mins left, hopefully I secure a pass 🙂
October 18, 2021 at 12:13 am #637986Omg I passed with 68% after thinking I had failed because I left out a few questions especially a 13 mark one, who could it be but God? Thanks to open tuition as always for the the great lectures and support as I have been using them from ACCA F1 to now SBR and I have managed to pass all 10 papers at first attempt!
September 10, 2021 at 1:33 am #635213Michael wrote:Hey everybody, how did you all do?
I got the exact exam and I ran out of time having not even attempt the 13 marks question. The paper was very wordy for me and a lot of time required to read questions then answer. IDK about this paper tbh so I hope I can manage to get 50 🙁
July 19, 2021 at 12:29 am #628397macmonie wrote:Yes. One last 20 mark Decision Tree Question was quite difficult for me to do
I had that same question and I messed up too because I never went over decision trees in much detail because I wasn’t expecting it in section C, but my advise is to go over the syllabus especially your weak areas and then try to do as many pass papers as possible, so get an exam kit if you don’t already have one.
July 19, 2021 at 12:19 am #628378macmonie wrote:Second time fail, with 47%. Can someone plz suggest how to improve the re attempt?
Sorry about that, 47 is close to passing maybe it was your exam technique. Did you manage to attempt all questions?
July 19, 2021 at 12:18 am #628369Pass first time with 55% thank God! I messed up one of the 20 mark questions so I was worried but happy to pass and complete level 2 so time for level 3. Thanks and credit to John Moffat and OpenTution as always for providing such great lectures and study resources which I have used to complete all 9 papers thus far!

June 29, 2021 at 4:25 am #626556Hello,
I am a new comer who wants to do the OBU RAP however I am awaiting my final ACCA result to determine whether or not I am eligible. I wanted to know if I would have sufficient time to do the RAP for submission in November if I am only able to start in late July after ACCA results providing that I pass? Also I am studying for SBR in September as well so what do you think?June 9, 2021 at 11:55 pm #624327Zak97 wrote:So frustrating when they give you something random in section C,
I got the same questions as you and I wasn’t expecting decision trees in section C so I wasn’t fully prepared.
June 9, 2021 at 11:54 pm #624325I got the same questions as you and I wasn’t expecting decision trees in section C so I wasn’t fully prepared.
June 9, 2021 at 11:51 pm #624324Yes and the one about the TPAR for the clock. I didn’t know what to use for the total fixed overhead and machine time. Paper was a disaster for me.
June 9, 2021 at 11:41 pm #624322Anyone got decision tree question and the RI/ROI questions for section C?
April 12, 2021 at 5:08 am #617038Section A is computer marked. For section B I suggest you go to the Acca exam resources and look at the past exam reports as well as read the mind of the marker to understand what the markers are looking for with each type of question. Study the notes alone won’t make you pass if you don’t know how to answer the questions to the marker’s requirements.
April 12, 2021 at 4:49 am #617035I think you should focus more on understanding what the markers require for the different types of questions and not so much on the text books. Go on Acca website and go to the exam resources for AA and go through the past exam reports as well as read the mind of the marker. The ACCA exam resources are very useful especially for AA because book knowledge alone won’t make you pass if you don’t know how to answer the questions to the marker’s requirements.
April 12, 2021 at 1:10 am #616995I passed with 66% first attempt!!! Thanks to open tuition for the resources and God of course! Also understanding the marker’s requirement proved to be very useful so I implore persons who will attempt AA in the future to spend time reading ACCA understanding the mind of the marker to view how questions should be answered.
