    Count down to results eek

I hate the last few days of waiting for results. I think I have failed but still waiting before hitting the books for round 2 in September.

    Hi guys,

Congratulations to all of you that passed.

I am hoping to sit P6 in December and wanted any tips or advice. Also many of you have mentioned link theory, please could you tell me what this is?

    Thanks,

I can’t believe I have passed and that to with a 58, I totally messed up question 1 part b – 32 marks and was so scared that I had failed. Thank you so much to God who got me through this. Never give up hope.

i hope you have better luck in this sitting.

This was my first attempt at P3 and I feel so annoyed. I studied hard but found that I was always questioning my answers throughout the exam.

When you sat it in September did you think you had passed or failed it… I’ll be worrying/hoping between now and 16th January.. its such a pity they make the exam so difficult..

I was not really prepared for the September exams due to family commitments but had I done exam practice then I should have been ok as I missed out an entire question so in answer to your question I knew I had failed.

This paper was more difficult due to the project management NPV element despite being for less marks, it through me off and wasted my time and therefore I could not spend as much time on the other parts as I would have liked so I ended up rushing and missed easy marks. There is a page in the Kaplan text book about the role of the account changing and developing to a strategic partner which I had gone through however time wasted meant these marks were lost as I couldn’t develop the answer and panicked about time.

The struggle is to pick yourself up and start again. Is the exam results out on the 16th of Jan? That is a very quick turnaround.

Please answer this. I used BCG matrix correctly but named it BGC matrix intstead of bcg. Wil i be penalised?

As long as the classification is right as well as justification i think you should be ok.

yep, definitely failed! Q1 is really where I got lost.

Did you get stuck on project management? That was really different and not like any past questions?

No constraints, risk assessment, objectives not smart and can not be used in benefit realisation review.

Q2 trend was first 4 numbers and divide by 4 for average, then the next 4 numbers and divide by 4 for average. Add the 2 totals and divide by 2.

It was a hard paper and I totally agree with you Gulshab. I hated the NPV question. It was just an evil paper I haven’t done NPV in years. Although I did like the layout of the paper with the clear lines in question 1.
