Passed with 63%! Affiliate! Woohoo! Thank you open tuition!
December 9, 2015 at 4:40 pm #289735I started on question 2 cos I thought “ah transfer pricing, this I have revised and I know fairly well” but man once I got into the nuts and bolts of it it was awful but it was too late, I was already committed.
Then I did question 3 which restored my faith a bit…. If it was as bad as q2 I might have just packed up and gone home.
Q1 I answered all the bits in report format
Hopefully enough done cox I really have no appetite to do it again, my hand was aching.
It really is impossible to formulate quality analysis in the time alotted…. Just firing stuff down as fast as possible. Joke
February 11, 2015 at 12:59 pm #227844It can be passed first time but it is not easy and there is no short cut. I disagree with Gabriel though, practicing questions is the key.
The same questions may not come up again but question practice is the only way to get inside the examiners head, understand the wording, the approach and produce the kind of answer he is looking for and the kind of answer that will maximise your marks from the knowledge you have.
But passing first time is totally doable, the pass rates are consistantly higher than F7 which is regarded as a much easier exam

February 7, 2015 at 7:56 am #225644are the results out?
February 5, 2015 at 10:36 pm #225436The western management centre in galway….. really good lecturer, it won’t be his fault if i made a bags of it.
February 5, 2015 at 8:01 pm #225418i’m in ireland Gabriel….. we’re all victims of an international torture conspiracy.
ACCA, the misery that knows no borders
yup, it’s my first time doing P2…. i reckon i have the stomach for one more go at it before donating myself to medical science
February 5, 2015 at 4:07 pm #225367for some reason 47% is what I keep on visualising on opening the text…. i hope it’s not some kind of premonition.
If Gabriel passes I’m jumping on the first plane to Kenya to join the party!
February 5, 2015 at 2:47 pm #225354So Gabriel, how’s that letter to the ACCA coming along? Probably a bit late now wha?
Not to worry, we’ll all be out of misery for better or worse in a couple of days
February 3, 2015 at 3:14 pm #225040I did Q3
I did ok in Part A of the exam but Part B (Q3+Q4) were 10% knowledge, 40% good guess and 50% shot in the dark
Overall i’m thinking
Q1 25+2+5 =32
Q3 about 8
Q4 about 8Total 48
maybe a prof mark or two might get it over the line.
This by far the most unsure I have ever been about passing an exam…. some of my answers in Part B could be bang on or way off.
February 3, 2015 at 2:43 pm #225028I’ve just been contemplating the reality of having to sit P2 again…… and I honestly don’t know if I can do it. The thought of it is just…. aaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrggggghhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
January 29, 2015 at 7:40 pm #224311My first go at it and it was definitely the most challenging exam i have ever sat, and I was pretty well prepared I thought and had just scored 73% in F7 last june.
I balanced the consolidation (compensating errors probably) but i’m still pretty doubtful that i passed the exam overall……
actually i don’t know, i could have anywhere between 40% and 65% cos i have absolutely no idea if my answers in part B where on the money or way off the mark… it’s that kind of exam.
I gave something masquerading as an answer to each part so i’m hoping that will stand to me
January 29, 2015 at 12:32 pm #224252I can’t open that Gabriel, what do they have to say about it?
January 20, 2015 at 1:00 pm #223079Quite frankly, you’d have to be out of your mind to go looking at the answers now…. agonising over what you wrote (or remember writing), trying to do mental tots of marks you might or might not have gotten…. stomach in a knot for the next two weeks.
I’ll wait for the result…. if i fail then I’ll have a look see where I went wrong, if I pass then I will keep on walking and never look back
Don’t do it to yourselves!
June 4, 2014 at 6:00 pm #173864i wanna say 73000 gw….can’t be sure mind
June 4, 2014 at 5:22 pm #173827Q2 i was exactly 10,000 out on the balance sheet, 292 and 302, can’t remember which was on top or bottom. went back and looked for it, couldn’t find it, presume i ballsed up and addition somewhere.
Q1 was ok but i made a bags of the associate part.
Q3 was expecting cash-flow but reckon the ratios required were straight forward enough…. didn’t do too well on the interpretation bit cos i have a flu and couldn’t think straight.
Q4 and Q5 i’ll be lucky if i got 7 or 8 marks between them.
overall a pass i think…. think.
June 4, 2014 at 4:27 pm #173794It could have been way worse. I struggled a bit with the theory parts (Part a of Q4 and Q5) but the other questions were reasonable I thought. Nothing too tricky in the Q2 notes.
Mind you, i expected a cash-flow in Q3 so was surprised when it didn’t show.
February 8, 2014 at 1:46 pm #15689460% woohoo!!!!!!!!!!! Thought i might have done better or worse (this paper is so hard to tell!) but 60 is around middle where i thought i’d be.
