To work in audit in uk you need to pass p2 and p7 uk? Is that right? If i do international paper then don’t have to revise the uk frs’s. So if i’m never going to work in audit is the international variant not the easier choice?

Thanks sir. I got my admin review back and no change. I passed q1, but failed 3 & 4. So i need to work on section b a bit more. I’ve also picked the international version this time instead of uk. Is exam kit best practice for section b?

    Hi Matt,

The deadline for admin review has passed. You pay £52 and they recount your marks and make sure all the correct processes have been done. Its a longshot, but hopefully they messed up somewhere. They also tell you pass or fail on all the questions you have done.

    Hi,

The Bubble questions states that the opening position of the pension liability is $15m which is already included in the non current liabilities of Bubbles draft statement. So when the net obligation changes to $17m you just need to add the extra 2m as 15 is already included.Think thats the reason why.

    Thanks for the advice.

Think I might have to gamble on some of the topics.
SOPL and OCI came in Dec and Cashflows in Sept so might skip the cashflows.

Theres so many IAS’s and IFRS’s.

Do recommend any ones to focus on or do you have a summary of all the standards?

    Kind Regards

    Roshan

    Thanks for your reply.

I got exemptions from all the F exams so my knowledge is limited to my university days 6 years ago. I have passed P1, P3 and P5 first time in past two years with similar study times. I think you are right and to see how I feel in a few weeks.

Is there anywhere I can get a summary of all the standards and what articles for the current issue should i read?

    Thanks

    Roshan

OK, should I read a chapter along with the video lecture for the chapter?

Also how far back in years should I get past papers?

Do you think I have enough time to study to Match 17 or should I wait til June 17?

Is the international version ok to use even if I do UK version?

    thanks

    Hi Mike,

I’m going to switch and do P7.

I’ve printed of the open tuition course notes.

They say international version and I will be doing UK version. Does this matter?

Should I now read the course notes again and again until I get a revision kit?

I work full time and have a family.

I can manage two hours study every night.

    Thanks

    Roshan

    Hi Mike,

Sorry I do have P6 books, but due to the volume of P6 Taxation I was considering switching to P7 auditing. Still not sure, going to have a think about it.
I have passed P1,P3 and P5 recently and I think I’m better with theory so thats why I was considering the switch.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Mike,

    Thanks for your reply.

I’ve got the P6 complete txt and revision kit, but the complete text had 1200 pages which has put me off with the amount of time left.

Would you recommend I do what you said above and read till 20th Feb?

With work and family commitments I can manage 2hrs a day and some weekends longer.

    Thanks

    Hi Yvonne,

The link below is a September 16 forum where people who sat the September exam sa what came up in the exam.

    https://opentuition.com/topic/acca-p5-september-2016-exam-instant-poll-comments/page/4/

From there comments this is what I though came up below.

    1. Problems implementing balance scorecard, KPI problems, TQM and Lean system.
    2. CSF’s and Transfer Pricing.
    3. ABC and KPI’s
    4. VFM, Benchmarking.

There could be more to it, just going by what I read.

    Hows your revision getting on?
